The high-performance transformers are custom-wound to meet the needs of converting high-impedance unbalanced signals to low-impedance balanced audio. Thus, signal from many different devices can be connected to the microphone-level inputs of a mixing board, or sent directly to a PA system.

The transformers are made to withstand extremely high signal levels while maintaining linearity from 20 Hz to 18.5 kHz. The resulting smooth Bessel response curve offers a warm and natural, making these transformers suitable for handling the sometimes-harsh sound of digital sources.

Sending audio directly from a tablet or smartphone to a mixing console can sport less-than-optimal results. This 3.5mm input will send audio from a tablet, smartphone, or MP3 player to a mixing board without any of the harsh side effects of plugging straight in, thanks to the custom-wound transformers.

The stereo RCA connectors are suitable for connecting the audio signals from a computer soundcard as well as A/V components such as a turntable and DVD player to a sound system.
