This black Clip for Capture v3 from Peak Design serves as a replacement part or as an additional support point for the Capture v3 harness system. By equipping more than one bag or strap with Capture clips, you can carry several cameras at once or switch between the two clips easily for comfortable and versatile use. Note that a plate is not included with this product, and must be purchased separately in order to carry equipment.

Keeping a slim profile at only 3.3" in length and weighing just 2.5 oz, the clip uses included thumbscrews or hex-head bolts to clamp onto any strap or belt as wide as 2.5" and as thick as 0.87". It is made of weatherproof aluminum to resist rust and is designed to withstand up to 200 lb of force. The clip is equipped with a quick release button so you can instantly grab your camera and start shooting, and it has a security lock that can be activated to prevent accidental release during longer trips. For enhanced stability, an anti-slip pad is used on the back plate for grip. All legacy Peak Design plates work with the Capture v3 clip except for the DUALplate v1, allowing you to carry objects such as lenses, binoculars, or GoPro cameras with optional accessories.

This clip is very simple but fills a big void when filming outdoor projects or jobs where you're moving around a lot. It really helps you make the decision easier as to whether to put your camera in the bag or keep it out and and ready to use.

After having purchased several other items from Peak Design, I bought the Capture as part of a bundle because, hey, who doesn’t love saving money!

It’s super easy to clip the camera in and remove it but takes a bit of practice to do it smoothly with a larger or heavier lens, which I think is because the lens affects my sense of the location of the camera’s attaching plate.

I think it’s especially useful with a point and shoot camera when attached to a backpack strap.

I got the clip last winter and finally got to use it on small hiking trip about 2 weeks ago near Cumberland Falls in KY. We hiked about 9 miles over 2 days. I connected the clip to the left strap on my backpack style camera bag. The clip is a comfortable and convenient way to carry a camera (Canon R5 + RF24-105) when walking. It's as out of the way as it could be and still be readily accessible. Until recently I was shooting weddings and for work like that, the clip probably isn't the best choice because other setups allow faster access. But neither the belt/holster or dual camera harness options would be good at all for walking in the woods or tight trails. I took many more photos on this last trip because I didn't have to stop, remove my bag, open it, shoot, and put it all back.

The straps on my camera bag don't have a chest strap to connect them. I was comfortable enough without one but it would be better with one. I had water bottle in my camera bag on the same side as the camera clip and it pulled to that side a little. I finally moved the water bottle to the opposite side and it was better balanced and didn't feel like the left side was trying to slide off my shoulder.

I purchased this just to try it. WOW! I am so happy I did. This little bit of gear makes a big difference. I purchased a second one so I could carry my other camera. My hands are free to do whatever I need and the cameras are so quick to get into my hands. Love these little clips.

Bought this for a trip to Hawaii to put onto my Peak Messenger. It’s fantastic, my camera is secure and easy to get to but not always taking up one of my hands!

I’ve had older versions of this clip and I love its smaller form factor, especially with my mirrorless cameras. They protrude lass than my older model, but still have the capacity to hold older DSLRs or longer tele lenses.
I can attach to my bag straps or belt, and relief stress on my neck, back, and shoulders.

I use this to get the weight of my camera off my neck and onto my backpack (and thus distributed around my back and hips). It is also brilliant for stopping that annoying camera bounce as you walk. It is a very clever design that stays rigidly in place but it easy to use with the little release button and clear click into place. One of my most favourite bit of camera tech.
