If you prefer to use a quick release plate, the Manfrotto 323 RC2 System Quick Release Adapter with 200PL-14 Plate, BH # MA323 screwed into the Manfrotto 037 Reversible Short Stud, with 3/8" & 1/4"-20 Threads (Brass), BH # MA037 would be better. The Short Stud should have its 3/8" thread facing towards the bottom of the quick release.
