Installation of a compatible filter is accomplished by first turning the Wine Country Camera 100 x 100mm Filter Vault's brass Wine Coin lock into the open position. Located along the front of the filter vault's inner and outer top edges, the Wine Coin is a flat, disk cam lock that features a straight edge on one side and a rounded edge at the other. When the lock's straight edge is aligned with the filter vault's inner edge, a 100 x 100mm, 2mm-thick filter can be set within the front of the filter vault. The Wine Coin can then be turned so that its rounded edge obstructs the installed filter, securing it within the filter vault.

A separately available Wine Country Camera 100mm Filter Holder includes a dedicated inner slot for this 100 x 100mm filter vault which also features a quick-access side handle. The combination of that slot and the side handle allows a Wine Country Camera 100 x 100mm Filter Vault to be instantly switched with an identical filter vault that may contain a different filter needed for other subjects or changing lighting conditions. If used with any one of the Wine Country Camera 100mm Filter Holder's two outer slots that can each accommodate a Wine Country Camera filter vault up to 100 x 150mm in size, an integrated safety-catch system prevents this 100 x 100mm filter vault from accidentally sliding out of the filter holder.

If you experience difficulty installing your grad, contact us immediately and we will resolve it for you.

A: We could not find a lens cap for the Wine Country Camera filter holder. We know of no cap for the other larger filter holders either. Please know it does have a protective pouch when transporting. However, I do hear you. I have been in situations where I want to have at least moisture or dust protection while sitting or doing a short move to another set up. In these situations, I would suggest using disposable shower caps which are available at your local drug store or your next motel overnight stay.
