Q: 2. does work wih a 4k tv?
A: Yes the Bullet Train 10K 48 Gb/s HDMI Cable (4.9') works with a 4K TV.
Q: 3. My camera rig is 4.9kg atm, and it’ll be a touch heavier when I have transmitters etc. will this tripod be okay for my camera setup?
A: Yes it will be. This tripod has a 22 pound or 10kg load capacity. It will work well with your set up if it is only 4.9kg.
Q: 4. Has anyone checked the tripod/bag under the plane before? Is it a padded bag?
A: The case is padded, but I wouldn't trust checking it in by itself. If you remove the head from the sticks, they will fit comfortably in a large duffle bag. Then you'll still have room for extra gear :)
Q: 5. After BMDs announcements at NAB2024 is this part deprecated in favor of the new 2110 IP Mini BiDirect 12G?
A: No, the Blackmagic Design Mini Converter Optical Fiber 12G-SDI will still have it's use cases. You should get the signal convertor that best suits your specific workflow.

Q: 8. Please answer question 2 by identifying compatible optical cables for this module. BH #UBACDASFP103?
A: The Ubiquiti Networks UACC-OM-MM-10G-D 10G SFP+ Multi-Mode Optical Module (2-Pack) uses multimode LC fiber optic cables, like the Ubiquiti Networks Multimode LC Fiber Optic Patch Cable (9.8', Aqua), B&H # UBUOC3.
Q: 9. I'm a tad confused about the 2-step weight specs. 2-steps, 10 and 22 lbs(4.5 - 10 kg) ....what does this mean? I shoot with a fairly light DSLR set-up and am slightly concerned about reviews regarding the fluid heads performance with minimal weight.
A: I have been shooting with the SOLO 20 for about a year now. Most of the time I shoot with the Canon 600 F4, 1.4 converter, and 1D MKIV without looking at the actual weights I would say its about 17 pounds. I think it would be more stable with a bigger tripod, but I'm not interested in packing around anything bigger. I also shoot the 1D MKIV with the sigma 150-600mm sport lens on this tripod and it as solid as a rock (11 pounds or so.) I would like to see one improvement to this tripod; I feel the first leg stop on this tripod is too tight, if the legs where out a little more on the first stop the tripod would be more stable with 20 LB load. The next setting on the tripod is too wide, maybe they could add one in the middle. I have been very happy with this tripod worth the money. I rented it from lens rental before I bought it.Harlan
Q: 10. Would this tripod work well with a mediumly rigged FS7 + Sony 18-110mm zoom lens?
A: This tripod has a 22 pound load capacity. It will depend on what is in your full rig, but it is certainly possible to use this with an FS7 depending on all of the other accessories you have. You will just need to keep the load at or below 22 pounds.
