Designed for commercial and fashion photographers, this 28" EZ-Pro Deep Parabolic Softbox from FotodioX features a deep construction that provides a large and soft light source for your subjects. It comes equipped with a Novatron speed ring, making it compatible with Novatron FC and M series strobes. Optional speed ring inserts can also be used for quickly switching compatibility to additional light mounts. Thanks to its heat-resistant fabric, this softbox can be used with strobes as well as continuous light sources without any problems.

The EZ-Pro can be set up or collapsed in seconds. Its supporting rods open and close like an umbrella, and the included speed ring makes it easy to simply snap it onto the light. The interior of the softbox is lined with a reflective silver material and features a removable inner baffle, both of which help direct the light towards the subject and give you control over the composition. An outer front diffuser is also provided to help even out light intensity across the softbox. Both panels can be left in place while the softbox is collapsed to make for an even easier experience.

This is a simple item that is a necessity if you are looking for control. First off, the grid is not mind-blowing but it is a must have especially for portraits and video interviews. When dealing with a 4-foot softbox you are going to get great even lighting and that at times can be a problem. That light can spread too much and can blend your subject into the background. Typically one can employ the use of a reflector to try to direct the light. This grid will eliminate that need (for the most part as it's always good to have a reflector on-hand) and allows you much greater control. It's a simple fact... You wouldn't buy a car without windshield wipers just because you don't use them everyday. So don't get a softbox without a grid just because you don't use it every shoot. When you need one you'll wish you had it and this one is solid, easy to install and works great! [I received this product in exchange for my honest review.] 5

This is a very nice addition to the soft box. Keeps the nice soft light from spreading everywhere. I have a huge soft source but still pretty directional. It also just slips in the bag with the soft box. 5

I just got this so I haven't used it too much yet, but it fits the matching Angler soft box well, seems sturdy and does a good job at directing the light while maintaining that nice soft source. 5
