The beige Core 4266 Omnidirectional Single-Ear Headset Mic with Hardwired 3.5mm Locking Connector from DPA Microphones is designed for theater applications and can be mounted on either the left or right ear, depending on your preference. The mic features the 4266 round omnidirectional capsule and the Core headset microphone amplifier which delivers a 14 dB increase in dynamic range over the previous Legacy model. The headset can be used for both singing and speaking applications and the capsule is optimized for low distortion as well as humidity resistance.

The 66 omnidirectional headset microphone is available with single- or dual-ear mounts and offers fast and easy mounting. This single-ear headset is ergonomically designed to fit comfortably around the head. The mic adjusts to fit any ear size and head shape, while at the same time, it mounts securely and is hardly visible. In addition, the connector splits the cable from the microphone boom, allowing you to quickly swap broken cables and/or wireless connectors.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Will this work with Mipro 100SB?

A: No, the Mipro wireless transmitter uses a different type of connector which is a locking (screw-on) TA4F connector, not a locking 3.5mm connector. B&H offers compatible headset and earset style microphones from Mipro, Point Source Audio and Countryman such as the MIPRO MU-55HNX Dual-Ear Omnidirectional Headset Microphone for Wireless Transmitters - Black, 4-Pin Mini XLR (B&H # MIMU55HNX), Point Source Audio CO-3 Earworn Omnidirectional Microphone for MiPro Transmitters - Beige (B&H # POCO3MPB) and Point Source Audio CO-3 Earset Microphone Kit for MiPro Wireless Transmitters - Beige (B&H # POCO3KITMPBE), Countryman Isomax Omnidirectional Headset Microphone for Mipro Wireless Transmitters - Screw-On Mini 4-Pin Connector, Beige (B&H # COMHOW5LMN ) and Countryman H6 Omnidirectional Headset with Detachable Cable and TA4F Connector for MIPRO or Beyerdynamic Wireless Transmitters - W5 Band, Beige (B&H # COH6OW5LMI), as well as many others. Please feel free to contact us by phone or through live chat on the website if you would like further assistance with compatible microphones.

Q: 2. Can one purchase extra cables with the 3.5/sennheiser connection?

A: While not currently available at B&H, spare headset cables for the Galaxy Audio ESM8 Single-Ear Headset Mic with 4 Cables can be found at the manufacturer's website, linked here: https://bit.ly/36C5BbJ

Q: 3. what is the clip that the man in video used to hold the mic onto his cloth?

A: In the video, the DPA Microphones 4097 CORE Micro Shotgun Microphone is attached to a boompole at first, and then it looks like he had clipped the mic and mini boom to his clothing using a clip like the DPA Microphones CM4099 - Clamp Mount for 4099 Instrument Microphone (B&H # DPCM4099).

Q: 4. Which type is this MKE2 Gold mic ? EW or 2-4 / 2-5? I know MKE2 has several types such as EW, 2-3, 2-4 and 2-5, what is the difference between EW and 2-x version? ( it seems EW has blue tag and 2-x has gold/yellow one, is it true?) And I want to use MKE2 on Rode Wireless Go, so which type should i choose?

A: This version of the Sennheiser MKE 2 Gold Series Subminiature Omnidirectional Lavalier Microphone is the EW version which is wired with a 3.5mm TRS locking connector for compatibility with Sennheiser transmitters and other wireless transmitters that use the same wiring configuration and this mic has a black finish. The MKE 2 Gold is also available in beige finish and with different connectors for compatibility with other wireless transmitters. In addition to the 3.5mm locking connector, the MKE 2 is also available with a 3-pin LEMO connector or with a pigtail connector. The mic itself is exactly the same regardless of the color or the connector. Be aware that the MKE 2 Gold requires 7.5V of plug-in power supplied through the mic input of the transmitter or device it will be connected to. The Wireless GO transmitter supplies up to 2.8V of plug-in power and also has a non-locking 3.5mm TRS input so the MKE 2 Gold is not compatible for use with the Wireless GO transmitter.

Q: 5. New to all this and trying my best. I'd like to buy this microphone to use for filming for a YouTube show. What do I connect this to in order to capture audio while filming?

A: In addition to its high quality components, the DPA Microphones 6060 CORE Subminiature Normal Sensitivity Omni Lavalier Microphone adds value in its versatility in connector options. Depending on your workflow and current equipment setup, this mic could be paired with a connector for a wireless mic system or hardwired into a recorder's audio input. Please email us at audio@bhphotovideo.com if you would like to have a more in-depth discussion on the options and possibilities for using the DPA 6060.

Q: 6. What plug do I use for lectrosonic I thought it was Ta5 but I only see TA4 on the 6060

A: You are correct Lectro uses a TA 5. That particular DPA doesn't come with a TA 5 connector. Only 3-Pin LEMO, 3.5mm Locking, MicroDot and TA4F.

Q: 7. This wired headset would be a 9th comm? Assuming 8 more wireless C1 headsets can pair to the C1 hub?

A: Yes, the Hollyland Solidcom C1 Single-Ear Wired Headset can be connected directly to the Hollyland Solidcom C1 HUB Base. The C1 HUB can be used with 8 wireless headsets and one wired headset.

Q: 8. Can this be used with IPhone using the adapter?

A: We have not tested it, but the Hollyland Solidcom C1 Single-Ear Wired Headset does have a 3.5mm TRRS connector and looks like it could work when used with the Apple Lightning to 3.5mm Headphone Jack Adapter (B&H # APLAADAP) for connection to an iPhone.
