I gave this Ball Head a perfect score.  I purchased one for my Induro tripod CL 403 Series. So far I am very satisfied with the quality overall finish and the knobs are very simple to dial in.  Was also looking at the really right stuff products.  Why spend the few hundred of dollars more. This does just the same as the really right stuff. 
 I have owned many Ball Heads from top manufacturer.  
   KLM,  Gitzo, Novoflex ball 5 II .  Problem I was having when tilted to the side I was hitting the knobs on the other ball heads. And need further adjustment, By then the subject was gone, or missed the shot completely. 
  I purchased a second Leofoto LH 55 for my second tripod as well.
 I could not be any happier... And saved few hundred bucks...

Have used Bogen styled brackets for many many years, but wanted the stability and available accessories provided by the arca swiss mount. This ballhead, works very smoothly, is light and affordable. I was cautious and looked for what some reviewers said wastoo little tolerance in the fine adjustment. My copy had no such issue. Beautiful piece of equipment.

So far so good. The thing is hefty. Excellent deal

Glad I listened to the advice given to me by the customer service person. This ball head is a real value. I was looking at heads that cost 2-3x as much. So far this is rock solid and stable. Adjustments may not be as smooth as some of the best on the market. But I need stability and weight capacity. This little guy has it in a fairly compact size. Everything is a compromise, but this fits my needs perfectly. Thanks for your help with the selection!

RRS and Arca-Swiss, watch out! You finally have a less expensive alternative that is good quality gear, not cheap junk.

I usually do not write reviews on items I purchase, I wanted to do my review on this Ball Head.  In order to be fair I have purchased 5 different ball heads.  Benro, Novoflex ball 5 etc.

 I must say this one nailed it on the head for me. Easy smooth panning quick response side to side and can take a great deal of weight. I have the induro cl 403 tripod carbon fiber .

Heavy duty, well made and easy to use. knobs are large enough to feel them in your hands even with light gloves on. Good value for the money and less expensive than RRS.

Purchased this head to replace an older slightly worn Manfrotto ball head. The fit and finish are outstanding, all controls work flawlessly. Secure locking is easily accomplished without using excessive force on the controls. My only negative comment is in regard to the supplied camera mounting plate. I find the D-Ring used to tighten the plate to camera tripod socket a bit small for my aging hands, a tool to assist in tightening was needed. Again, this is a minor concern that I thought I would share for folks in a similar situation. The value for dollars spent is very good and of course the good folks at BH Photo performed their excellent service of shipping same day, item arrived properly packaged in two days time. Loved the low profile and the its rock solid support. For the features and the support it gives. It is one of the cheapest in the market.
Highly recommended.

Ball heads I have used before this are Manfrotto and Pro Media Gear. This may be the last ball head I ever buy, as it is that good.


Recently received this for attachment to my new Leofoto LN-404 tripod and look forward to putting them both to use.
