The Nila 10-Pocket Nylon Pouch for Varsa is a custom-sewn lens pouch that houses all gels & holographic lenses included with your Varsa Deluxe Kit. The pouch offers 10 pockets in total, 6 for holographic lenses and 4 for CTO or CTB color gels. There is also a business card slot on the front of the pouch to help identify your kit in case it is misplaced on location.

A: Yes, it will fit those items.

Q: 2. Do you think it would be possible to cram two B+W Plastic Filter Case D's (MFR # 65-1071524) inside it (so that it has extra dust/scratch protection in the plastic case, and additional padding protection from the Ruggard Pouch)?

A: I'm going to say probably not. Looking at the specs of the plastic case, and the way this pouch is made, I highly doubt even one would fit. This pouch has 4 slots tat hold up to 82mm, but the slot dividers are stitched together, then stitched inside the pouch, making it a snug fit just for filters. I took a photo to show you, but I don't know how to post it.

Q: 3. How soft is the interior lining? Any concerns about scratching the filters?

A: The interior of this pouch is a soft nylon fabric. I have used this pouch on two, multi-day, trips and have had no scratching problems.

Q: 4. Would a round 67mm fit, albeit tightly, or is 62mm truly the max size? I'm hoping to keep the case size small.

A: I pulled a 67 from another case and it fits just fine and is not tight at all.

Q: 5. Does this bag hold the large Lee Filters 150x170. Confusing when filters are mm and pouch description is inches. I don't trust my conversion skills since I calculate a 150 x 170mm filter = 5.9.x 6.7 inches or a 4x6 in filter = 101 x 152. Based on this, the pouch would NOT handle the 150 series Lee Filters. Agree or disagree?

A: You are correct. It will handle filters up to 100mm wide (4 inches) and 152mm in length (6 inches). The Lee 150x170 filters are too big for this pouch.

A: The Nila Varsa V2 Daylight LED Lamp Head BH #NINV2D is a 75w light that uses lenses to achieve 100,000LUX at 1 meter. It is not rated in lumens.

Q: 7. Does the pouch slide on the backpack belt after its attached to the belt?

A: The Ruggard 4-Pocket Filter Pouch (Up to 86mm) has Touch-Tab Belt Loop. So it can slide once on a belt?

A: The Ruggard Five Pocket Filter Pouch (up to 4 x 6") does not include a shoulder strap. It does have a touch-tab belt loop.

Q: 9. How Deep are the Pockets? I have K&F Concepts Nano-X Pro 100x150 filters with the frame. They measure 7.5" (190mm) long.

A: The pockets on the Ruggard 10-Pocket Filter Pouch for 4 x 6" Filters are 152mm deep.

A: The Ruggard 5-Pocket Filter Pouch is designed to hold filters up to 4 x 6" with 5 pockets for each filter, which would make for a tight fit for the Cokin Z-Pro Series Filter Holder (B&H # COFHZP). The filter holder can be attached behind the case with the Velcro strap. Alternatively, the Ruggard Protective EVA 10-Pocket Filter Case (Up to 4 x 6"), B&H # RUFCV3108B should allow for the filter holder and filters to fit. Then there is the Haida Case for M10-II Filter Holder (B&H # HAHD4708) that should work for the filter holder alone.

I use the case to hold filters sized up 58mm (the largest lens I have for my micro 4/3 Olympus). Works very well for me. Sufficient padding to protect filters. I like being able to attach it to the strap of my gadget bag. As one other reviewer mentioned, the filter case does not completely dust-proof. So, when I pack my gear away, I place the Ruggard inside a gadget bag that holds all my equipment; though, I haven't had any issues with dust. 5

Over the last month, I've had the chance to use the Ruggard FPB-258B filter pouch for 4x6 filters. I typically carry 2- and 3-stop Singh-Ray Reverse ND grads, 2- and 3-stop Singh-Ray Soft ND grads, a 5-stop and a 10-stop Singh-Ray Mor-Slo filter, and multiple Singh-Ray polarizers. All fit inside the pouch fine -- because the filter holder only fits 5 filters, I had to leave some in the office on each outing. Overall, the holder is compact and durable. It has plenty of protection for filters and it's easy to get the filters in and out of the pouch. The pouch itself has a velcro belt loop. This can be used to strap the pouch onto your belt or the belt of your backpack. I prefer to hang my filters on my tripod, so I looped some cordage around my ballhead and used the belt loop to hang the pouch from the cordage (see picture). This worked well. What I liked best about this holder is its size. The filters fit snug inside and the outside dimensions are small enough that it takes up little space inside your pack. Compared to my other pouches, the Ruggard takes up the least amount of space, albeit with fewer slots for filters. For me, this is a nice feature when I'm traveling in the backcountry and don't plan on bringing all my filters anyway and I want to minimize the amount of gear I'm carrying. When using my Sony A7rii, a couple of lenses, a spare body, a Sensei filter holder and this pouch, I can fit everything inside of a Watershed Ocoee dry bag set up with their camera insert. This combo is perfect for canoe and kayak trips. My older filter pouches take up too much room in this situation. It also pack well inside of my backpack (I don't use a camera-specific backpack) and makes room for other important gear. I'm happy with the filter holder and for the price it is a steal. Highly recommended! 5
