This thing is awesome just got it today ordered it 07,05,18 wow never seen a back-order wait like this but besides that with all that the good reviews I agree with the people you will be happy once you get it, one thing I like about this is the build quality it's the real deal and yeah it's a little heavy but who holds it all day put it down for a minute get your arms right a pick it up boom there you go. Again tho I think everyone will enjoy it once you get it and please read the instructions your good to go after that.

We just got our Ronin-S today, that was ordered back on July 3rd. It was definitely worth the wait, and worth every penny spent! Only spent about 10 minutes adjusting and balancing, then auto tuned the motors. We are still blown away at the build quality and handle for the price off $699 and some change.

We tried the Z. Crane and sold it, tried the Neewer Stablizer, and broke up with it.

DJI continues to impress, and stay ahead in this industry!

Be patient young Jedi... The Ronin will ship soon.

I bought the Ronin-S for mobile, cinematic, and smooth shots for weddings. My Canon Rebel T7i isn't compatible (yet) but still works great for a one-handed stabilizer. Plus my camera has touch-screen focus so the pull focus option isn't essential for my need. Takes about 10 minutes to transition from my tripod plate to the Ronin plate, but I'm in the market for a new tripod anyways so I'll just buy one that's compatible.

Set-up with a 5D and an 85L... added an H1 on top, and it keeps everything shake free. It's a bit heavy for a long day, but if you're working to catch clips or any number of the other uses for this gimbal you're not going to hit that limit. The whole set up seems some how intimidating to people as I get a lot more "What are you recording" and side eye with this rig than I do with the same set up not on the gimbal.

The case that comes with the gimbal is too big and bulky, but that's hopefully not why you're buying this. The focus knob compatibility is much wider than initially announced already and while the accessories specifically for the Ronin S don't exist yet, there are some DJI ecosystem accessories that already do. DJI are working quickly to expand the available controls but it already works with the major Canon cameras.

There *IS* a manual folks! It's in the bottom of the box that encloses the case. I guess most people don't look carefully.

Charging for the first time was a bit of a difficulty... the battery grip and charging block didn't recognize the power at the end of an extension cord. Worked right away when I plugged it directly in to the wall. First time I powered up I thought I had done something wrong as well since it didn't seem to activate the motors... nope... it was working just fine, just paused by default.

Great piece of equipment to add to your arsenal. Before the Ronin S I was using a Glidecam HD2000 with my Sony A7S and a Rode VideoMic which I was happy with but then the Ronin S was released. I loved the idea of being able to use two hands to take on the weight load as well as adding attachments such as a video light and small hd screen. Setting up the Ronin S was a little tricky but doable and the only problem I ran into is that the mic hits the gimbal for low angles. I ended up taking the mic off and shot a video at a concert with just the camera and gimbal. The results were great and it wasn't too much of a pain to carry plus I had more than enough battery life left at the end of the night. Overall it's a beauty and a must have.
P.S. I don't like the case at all and will not be using it. The battery should have a charge port and not have to be connected to the gimbal itself.
