It mounts to any stand that has a 5/8" diameter top stud. It includes a 5/8" female stand adapter with female 3/8" and 1/4"-20 threads for stands topped with those threads.

Q: 2. Has anyone used this 42x72 diffuser to cut daylight from a person, and if so how was it mounted? I can easily mount my smaller circular one but I am worried this one will be unwieldy. Certainly I will need a longer arm (like the Westcott Extreme), but I envision my C-stand tipping over.

A: You can use A clamps on a C stand Grip arm. A C stand can easily hold this reflector.

Q: 3. I just received my impact 5 in 1 reflector, I feel like it is too tight to get the gold/silver color cover on to the translucent reflector. I had to squeeze the ring holding the translucent reflector, to get the zip closed. Is this normal? Please suggest.

A: It's a little tight but you want the fabric tight so it acts like a foamboard flat.

Q: 4. Are the surfaces painted on which will usually flake or are they more durable?

A: I purchased mine back on July 30, 2014. It is a black plastic - I don't think it is painted . Anyways I have had no issues with flaking. It has been stored in the trunk of my car (which we see extreme weather conditions here in New England) and mine has held up perfectly. It is a good product, I am very happy with my purchase. A: 32" is the supplied size it can vary slightly as the item is spring steel and can be deformed slightly.

Q: 7. How to refold this disc to put away?

A: It's tricky at first. You don't want to fold it, you want to twist it. Hold the disc on opposite sides and then rotate each side - clockwise on one side, counterclockwise on the other. Think of making a figure 8 and keep rotating it. If you're doing it right, it should fold up with very little effort.

Q: 8. Can you mount this on a stand or do you have to hold it manually? Can't tell from photos.

A: The Raya 5-in-1 Collapsible Reflector Disc (42") like most collapsible reflectors can be hand held or used on a stand or a stand with a reflector arm.

I want to put it on top of a tripod/light stand but all of the reflector holders seem to be for 60 reflectors and that seems like massive overkill. Impact makes one (Impact Telescopic Collapsible Reflector Holder) but that is way too big. Looking for something cheap that will collapse small.

A: I see no reason why it should not be possible. The only problem could be the heat from the light, if the distance is to short. As I have not used the reflector together with tungsten light, I can not give you any guidelines on the distance needed.
