Capture brilliant images of the aquatic world with your Nikon D7500 DSLR Camera in Ikelite's 200DL Underwater Housing, which has a depth rating of 200'. An Ikelite bulkhead with a manual hot shoe connection enables reliable electrical triggering of optional external strobes via sync cords. The use of an optional TTL hot shoe and converter will allow for TTL operation with compatible Ikelite DS strobes; non-Ikelite strobes will still work in manual mode only.

Ergonomic mechanical controls, including push-buttons, dials, and levers, afford access to all essential camera functions. Built for durability, the enclosure is made in the USA from a corrosion-resistant polycarbonate and ABS plastic blend. It is white on the front, top, sides, and bottom, but clear in the back to allow you to monitor the O-ring seal and maintain your view of the camera's rear controls. The supplied aluminum tray with a left-hand quick-release grip affords improved balance and handling, while offering an attachment point for an optional lighting arm.

This housing ships without a required lens port, and accepts various, interchangeable dome and flat ports for an array of lenses. For full compatibility details, see the port chart.

  • Depth rating of 200'
  • Housing is made by hand in the USA from a corrosion-resistant polycarbonate and ABS plastic blend
  • White on the front, top, sides, and bottom to reflect sunlight and keep the camera cool when shooting on or above the water's surface
  • Clear in the back to allow you to monitor the O-ring seal and maintain your view of the camera's rear controls
  • Housing alone has nearly neutral buoyancy in fresh water, though your choice of lens and port may change the overall buoyancy of the system
  • Open-groove design suspends the rear O-ring in the natural position, making maintenance easier and preventing accidental twisting or stretching
  • Front-loading mounting plate enables quick camera installation, and allows access to the battery compartment and memory card slot
  • Mounting plate has a 1/4"-20 threaded hole on the bottom for connection to an optional tripod

  • Use of an optional external strobe is highly recommended for color correction and adequate brightness, and basically essential once you descend to depths greater than 15-20'
  • Strobe restores hues that are absorbed by the water, so your images are vibrant and accurate
  • To ensure that your images are as clear and colorful as possible, try to stay no more than 3-4' away from your subjects
  • Ikelite ICS-5 bulkhead with manual hot shoe connection enables reliable electrical triggering of strobes
  • Optional NT2 Nikon TTL hot shoe and 4301.3 converter will enable TTL operation with compatible Ikelite DS strobes, which use the #4103.51 Single and #4103.52 Dual Sync Cords
  • Non-Ikelite strobes, such as those from Sea & Sea, INON, and Retra, will still work in manual mode only, and can be connected via #4118.1 Single and #4118.2 Dual Sync Cords
  • Older non-digital strobes can be used in manual mode via #4103.51 Single and #4103.52 Dual Cords
  • Housing ships without a required sync cord for a strobe
  • Bulkhead has been moved to the top of the enclosure to keep the cord out of your way and reduce strain on the ends
  • Ikelite's #4403 Optical Slave Converter and Aquatica's Water Wizard system are available options that will let you trigger wireless slave strobes
  • Exposure compensation is available via the camera's controls

  • Sensitive shutter and AE-L/AF-L levers are curved and extendable to increase comfort when using the optional right-hand grip
  • Upgraded soft-touch knobs, including the zoom knob on the side, allow for a better, more comfortable grip with or without gloves
  • Push-buttons have been modified to reduce weight and salt buildup
  • Ergonomic, mechanical push-buttons, knobs, and levers afford access to all camera functions except for the following: release mode dial, release mode dial lock release, diopter adjustment control, focus mode selector, focus selector lock, bracketing button, and Fn1 and Fn2 buttons
  • Control placement is as close as possible to the layout of functions on the camera, allowing your muscle memory to guide you--so you don't have to learn another set of controls
  • Symbols for the controls are etched into the back of the housing with lasers, so they won't fade or fall off with time
  • Supereye Viewfinder enhances your view through the camera's OVF when you're wearing a mask
  • You can remove the Supereye quickly if you'd like to attach the optional Straight or 45° Magnified Viewfinder instead
  • Hard-anodized aluminum tray with a left-hand quick-release grip improves balance and handling, while offering an attachment point for an optional lighting arm
  • 1/4"-20 mounts and other mounting points on the tray enable a connection to a tripod and the addition of accessories
  • Optional right-hand grip can be added easily
  • Tray is more than 3/4 lb lighter than Ikelite's previous model
  • Housing is a 1/2 lb lighter than its FL-mount counterpart
  • Another 1/4"-20 threaded mount is located front and center on the housing above the port mount, allowing for the attachment of a focus light, GoPro action camera, or other lightweight piece of equipment
  • Optional Cable Grip or Aluminum Top Handle can be added for easier carrying if you're using 2 strobes

  • Ships without a required lens port
  • Accepts all Ikelite Dry Lock (DL) dome and flat ports, enabling you to use a wide variety of lenses with the appropriate zoom and focus gears
  • For complete compatibility information, see the port chart linked above
  • DL port system accommodates lenses with large diameters
  • Provides added security against leaks at the surface, thanks in large part to the included vacuum valve that helps you check watertight integrity before the dive
  • Removal of excess air to create a vacuum requires #47011 Pump with Gauge
  • DL mount can be removed and replaced by the older FL (Four Lock) port locks, though this change would be irreversible unless you sent the housing back to Ikelite to have the DL mount installed again

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Which lens should I use with this housing?

A: The Ikelite 200DL Underwater Housing for Sony a9 III would require a DL Port Extension to use for varying lenses. Depending on the lens size, there would be a port size that would accommodate the lens. Here are the Ikelite DL Port Extensions: https://bhpho.to/4bDVzTO

Q: 2. ikelite 200DL model adaptable with sony a7r4?

A: The Ikelite 200DL Underwater Housing for Sony Alpha a7R IV and a9 II Mirrorless Digital Cameras, BH # IK71474 would be suitable. https://bhpho.to/3eDUhwv

Q: 3. Does this come with the dry port for my 16-35mm 2.8 sony GM lens ? I'm assuming i don't need to buy anything else besides whats mentioned above

A: Lens ports and lens accessories are not included with the purchase of the Ikelite 200DL Underwater Housing for Sony Alpha 1 or a7S III with Dry Lock Port Mount. As different users may use different lenses with the underwater housing, the lens port is not included and must be purchased separately. The Ikelite DL 8" Dome Port for Wide-Angle and Zoom Lenses in DSLR and Mirrorless Housings, B&H # IK75340, the Ikelite DL 28mm Port Extension, B&H # IK75028, the Ikelite DL 50mm Port Extension, B&H # IK75050, and the Ikelite 5509.16 Zoom/Focus Gear, B&H # IK550916, would be the lens accessories needed for use with the Sony FE 16-35mm f/2.8 GM Lens.

Q: 5. Would this be an appropriate waterproof case for the canon rebel t6i; would it fit? If not, what would be a better option?

A: The Ikelite 200DL Underwater Housing for Canon EOS Rebel T7i with Dry Lock Port Mount (200') is not compatible with the T6i. We could get for you the Nimar Underwater Housing for Canon EOS Rebel T6i. Keep in mind none of these housings include a lens port. You have to purchase a port to match the lens you are using. For help with ports or any other underwater questions email us at uw@bhphoto.com.

Q: 6. Does it fit for a 5D?

A: I'm sorry, no.

Q: 7. Would this be overkill for using the camera in rainy or snowy conditions?

A: The housing is designed to withstand 200ft of water pressure so it'll certainly keep your camera dry in rainy/snowy conditions. That being said, you may find it to be relatively bulky for the application. It would be a good choice if you want to take it underwater eventually.

Q: 8. Is the port system compatible with my old ports from Rebel t1i's Ikelite housing? I have an 8 dome w/port body, also have a flat port for my 60mm macro lens.

A: This housing ships with the Dry Lock (DL) port base, which will not be compatible with older Four Lock (FL) ports.

Q: 9. Would this protect my camera from paintballs if I used it to film paintball? Was wondering if it can withstand paintballs pelting it. Would it just dent or would it shatter the 200DL?

A: The Ikelite 200DL Underwater Housing for Sony Alpha 1 or a7S III with Dry Lock Port Mount would be a good housing to protect your camera. I have not specifically seen it tested for photographing/filming paintball and cannot state if it would withstand direct hits from a paintball, but it would be one of the best protection options for your stated usage needs. If you wish, you can contact Ikelite directly with your inquiry about the experience with using their housings for use with paintball either by calling them at 317-923-4523 or by e-mailing them at ikelite@ikelite.com.

Q: 10. Is there not a frame or handle that attaches to the base of the housing to hold on to.. or a flash?

A: Yes, the housing ships with a single tray mount and quick release handle. A second (right) quick release handle can be added by incorporating the Quick Release Handle with Extension (4077.02): a href= https://www.ikelite.com/products/quick-release-handle-with-extension?variant=31336950534 target= _blank https://www.ikelite.com/products/quick-release-handle-with-extension?variant=31336950534/a

Everybody, I'm not a great photographer, and bought a D90 when it was recommended by a friend who was a professional. Took tons of pictures of my family growing up, and upgraded to a 7100, which I took to Africa twice (great pics) I bought the 7500 because I want have a video feature. Played around with it last weekend when my son's band played in the front Yard. Still am learning how to use it but sure I'll get it over time. Just bought a ME-1 mic for this weekend. Always liked Nikon's quality! Paul

It shoots at 8 FPS, has a deep buffer, accurate fast focusing, very customizable, good sensor, and cost just $600. Personally I don’t like huge raw files. Choosing compressed 12bit raw with a 21 Mp sensor produces “sensibly” sized raw files. I do miss the 2nd card slot, moving from the d7200 but this is definitely a noticeably more nimble camera in my opinion.

Incredible happy with my purchase. Love the camera. Very sharp images. Feels very well made. Perfect size and feel. Easy to use in my opinion. I've shot with Nikon before but recently I've been shooting on Sony and there is a lot of similarities in the way they operate. Regardless, it's easy to use. Could be different coming from Canon but who knows? I'm so glad i went with the 16-80 lens rather than the other options. It's a great match. It kind of seems like it's the only choice to pair with the D7500 body. I used the 24-120-f4 on a D750 a few years back and this is the DX equivalent, give or take a spec or two. Fast and quiet. Incredibly sharp. It's only been a week or two but my first test shots around the neighborhood couldn't be better. There are only a few negatives in my opinion. One memory card could make it tough for the serious shooters out there, not for me though, I'm an advanced enthusiast and I'm fine with it. I don't like how I have to remove the battery to charge. Other cameras I've had I could just plug the cable directly. Again, not a big deal for me. So far that's it for the negatives. All good!! Oh, the service at BH has been incredible too. Love it!

You made my experience of purchasing my new camera and lens so easy. I was able to ask questions and get answers. Knowing that I can actually talk to someone, is huge. Your service was excellent. I have bought equipment from other retailers, but your service is the most important to myself and many others these days. Keep it up

I'm very happy with my refurbisher Nikon D700. It has many configuration options and the quality of the images is very good. I waited patiently for its price to drop until it was within my budget and finally managed to buy it. I'm still learning how to use it but I already enjoy its great focusing system.

My copy of D7500 came with a shutter count of 0 and looked completely brand new. Fantastic body.

Wish it came with the original box and not a white box but that's well worth the discount on this refurbished model.

This camera was purchased to serve as a backup to my D500. It has the same sensor and many of the features as the D500. The only way I will buy used is if it's from B&H Photo and has been refurbished by Nikon and (fingers crossed) I have had no problems with any item bought that way. There were very few shutter counts on the camera and it has worked flawlessly, so far (fingers crossed again). I do wish it had dual memory slots like my D500.

I have been using this camera for over a year now and love everything about it. I have taken it to Greece, Africa and across the US using the kit lens and obtained some great photographs. The kit lens is much sharper than I thought it would be, do to the 20 megapixel DX sensor which delivers stunning captures. Straight out of camera the contrast and detail are amazing. I have upgraded to some new glass, Nikkor 20mm 1.8G ED and the 70-200mm 2.8E FL ED VR and the results have been astonishing! Adding quality glass has taken this great camera to a new level. All photographs attached were taken with the kit lens 18-140mm Nikkor.
