The 7" V3 Articulating Magic Arm with Black Knob from CAMVATE features a 15mm rod with 1/4"-20 threaded hole on either end, and it supports a load capacity of approximately 8.8 lb. The arm is designed to be used with CAMVATE kits to offer adjustable equipment installation on a camera and features 360° rotation.

A: The shoe will remove revealing a 1/4"-20 female bushing.

A: Yes they are.
Q: 3. Plastic or metal? Can the parts handle enough torque to keep ball sockets from rotating if there's any breeze when holding an umbrella?
A: The parts are sturdy to hold all the equipment together. We can't guarantee that everything would stay in place no matter the weather conditions. However, light conditions should not be a problem.
Q: 4. Can you attach the arms together to make one long one?
A: Yes you can. Each arm will have a female 1/4 20" thread on one end of the arm.
Q: 5. How do you attach this to a camera jib to be able to use it for a monitor?
A: If the jib has a cold/hot shoe mount or a female 1/4 20 thread you are set. Otherwise you will probably have to use a clamp or something.
Q: 6. What keeps the ball joints from slipping?
A: The ball joints has spikey "teeth" that helps the joints tighten securely without slipping.
Q: 7. What is the largest size tube the jaws of the clamp can accommodate?
A: Clamp Opens from 0.4 to 2.2".
Q: 8. Does the clamp fit around typical 12x12 truss tube?
A: The jaws of the clamp will not accomodate a 12" truss tube.
Q: 9. Does the red knob tighten the end joints as well as the middle one?
A: Yes, the red wing nut tightens all of the joints on the CAMVATE 11" Articulating Arm.

A: According to Camvate the load capacity of this arm is 8.8 pounds.
