Q: 1. For the A6000, is this wide enough for real estate shots of small apartments (1 bedrooms/studios with tiny bathrooms)? Or would I need more of a fish-eye?

A: This is a great lens - -one of my favorites for my a6000. And while it's wide, at the FF equivalent of an 18mm it's not ultra-wide. For tight interior shots you would need to look at something starting at around 10mm or less. The Rokinon 10mm is an excellent lens, but it is quite large and bulky as it's designed for the full sized slr body for factor. Even better is the Rokinon 8mm compact fisheye which shares the same EXCELLENT build and optical quality of the 12mm. It is MUCH wider, and still is quite fast at f2.8. The only downside may be the fisheye distortion, though it's less than some of the other fisheye lenses I also own.

Q: 2. Are there any lens filters available for this lens? Polarizer?

A: There are no filter threads on this lens.

Q: 3. Is this lens compatible with the AIDA imaging hd3g-ndi-200?

A: Yes, the AIDA Imaging CS-Mount 2.8-12mm Varifocal 3 Megapixel Lens would be compatible with the AIDA Imaging HD-NDI-200 Full HD IP / NDI|HX2 POV Camera.

Q: 4. Is this compatible with the AIDA Imaging HD-100?

A: Yes it is. The Aida HD-100A camera has a CS mount that would work with the AIDA Imaging 12mm f/1.6 CS-Mount Lens.

Q: 5. can I use this lens on Aida 100A, or if not, what would you recommend (ideally zoom to 6ft high person from 60ft away)?

A: Yes, this is a CS Mount lens which is compatible with the AIDA 100A.

Q: 6. is lens hood included ?

A: Yes

Q: 7. Where is this lens made?

A: This lens is made in South Korea. :)

Q: 8. What is the max height and diameter for the included hood?

A: With the hood mounted, the max diameter would become 3.25" and max height would be 3.8".

Q: 9. Is it compatible with a canon 60D?

A: I cannot help as my lens was on Fuji X mount.

Q: 10. is there a case or bag included for this lens?

A: A soft bag is included.

- I shoot landscape and portrait mainly. This one is light weight, nicely built - Image quality is good - One bad thing is the mount, it is kinda loose when you try to use MF, it will rotate a little bit.

I was looking for a wide angle lens to complete my set, but not so wide that it looked wide and distorted the image. :) And also not a millionty dollars. This lens was it. I recently tried it out for the first time on a hiking trip in Iceland and Norway. Couldn't have asked for better pictures. So clear, fast, perfect for landscape and sky. I used it inside buildings, it captured light so well. And it's so lightweight. I hadn't heard much about Rokinon previously, but I'm definitely a fan now. And I got a great deal with B&H.

WORKS GREAT WITH MY PANASONIC GH4 I use it to work close and wide,or for landscape shots. No distortion that I can see, replaces my Rokinon fisheye. F2.0 is plenty fast for my use. Focus ring is sturdy and easy to adjust...fstop is stepped, which is fine with me. The lens is well made and works as advertised.

This is my first all manual lens in over 25 years so I had some concerns on how it would work on my new Sony a6300. In summary I am very pleased with the lens. It looks and feels very well made. I like the feel of the focus ring and am able to really fine tune the focus. A few positive surprises. The first is manual focus is easy for what I use this for (astrophotography and landscapes/buildings). It is easy to focus and with the focus zoom feature on the a6300 it can done very accurately. The second is the lens is very sharp in the middle 80% of the photo. I would say it is as sharp as any of the L Series lens (mostly zooms) I have for my Canon 5DM3 and sharper than my 17-40 F4 L even wide open at f2. Yes it is a fixed vs. zoom for the others but it also costs only a fraction as much. It does get a bit soft in the corners/edges but that is expected. Lastly, though manual it does NOT communicate at all with my a6300 (which at first really bummed me out), however, because the a6300 is mirrorless pretty much what you see through the viewfinder (or on the rear display) is what you will get for an exposure. So you can play around with the f stop or shutter speed and pretty much know what you will get. This is was quite a bonus for me and very helpful in the kind of work I do. On the negative there is some chromatic aberration in the usual high contrast bright areas but it was not excessive and I was able to adequately deal with it in Lightroom. Also, the cheap cloth pouch that came with it is not protective so I bought the an OP/TECH USA Fold-Over Pouch #253 which is the perfect size, easy to cover the lens (without the lens hood). The lens cap is a bit loose on it as I bought a B+W 67mm Xs-Pro Uv Haze Mrc-Nano 010m filter to protect the lens. I rarely use lens caps anyway in favor of always keeping my lens in the case when not in use Overall it is still early but I am very happy with the lens, it's wide f2 aperture, apparent quality and sharpness.

This is a superb lens for the money...sharp, quality built...read the reviews, they are true. I have the 8 mm fisheye and the fuji 14mm and wanted to go wider...was considering the fuji 10-24 but it cost a bundle and is a large lens. This takes me wider without a great deal of distortion and the price is right.

I bought this lens to use with my xt1 in order to shoot the milkyway. I am not disappointed at all, the shot are really sharp and the quality construction seems really good as well. Just need to get use to manual focus but it's anyway the usual way to focus for astrophotography. The lens is affordable as well which is great for budget people like me
