The RM85 Two-Zone Mic and Line Mixer from Rolls is designed as an eight-channel, two-zone mixer. Inputs one to four will accommodate microphones or line-level balanced devices into XLR-M connectors; inputs five to eight are line-level with 1/4" jacks. Additionally, a 1/8" stereo input is built onto the front panel of the RM85. It can be used to send all eight input channels to the two outputs in three configurations: A, B, or both A and B. The separate A and B outputs have XLR-F jacks and can be selected as line- or microphone-level.

Q: 1. As far as I can tell, there is no master volume for the headphone output. There are only individual controls for mic, instrument/line, and monitor/mix inputs. Is that correct?

A: That is correct - the ART MyMonitorII Personal Monitoring Solution Mic/Line Mixer does not have a single, dedicated master volume control for its headphone output. Instead, the MyMonitorII offers four dedicated level adjustments (Mic, Inst/Line, Stereo Monitor Left, Stereo Monitor Right) which allow the user to create a custom blend of the inputs used on the mixer and which all contribute to the headphone output level, which can achieve a maximum output of +12dBu.

Q: 2. Can this be used in car audio for multiple subwoofer amps .all aready the same wattage

A: This is not the right device for what your likely trying to accomplish. In car audio your generally trying to split or repeat the same signal. This is designed to take signals from multiple sources and send to a single output. Although not recommended, you could achieve the same results using an RCA Y-adapter.If your that serious about car audio you should be using a electronic crossover with multiple outputs or high-end deck that supports multiple RCA pairs.

Q: 3. Is it working fine as a karaoke amplifier?

A: You could use this to plug your microphones into it and then send the signal out to something else.

Q: 4. hello - presumably this is compatible anywhere in the world?

A: I don't see why not, there are no active components inside.

Q: 5. If I input a 3.5mm mic will that get phantom power, and if so, how much, or is it just through the XLR connections?

A: Phantom power is provided through an XLR connection only. Mics that require power with a 3.5mm jack usually require plug in power which is approximately 2 - 5 volts. The MX310 is not able to provide this power.

Q: 6. connect speaker wire to mx225?

A: The MX225 is a mixer only with no amplification. You are not able to connect speaker wire to this unit. Amplifiers will need to be connected to the Zone outputs which is where the speakers will connect to.

Q: 7. How do I hook up a piano mic( power mic) to mixer (RM82)?

A: Your microphone will require phantom power not provide by this mixer. Rolls PB223 Mic Power II Dual 48V Phantom Power Supply B&H # ROPB223

Q: 8. Is the "direct out" before or after any trim/gain adjustment? Looking to boost 8 mic signals to 8 line level. Will this do it?

A: The direct output on the Rolls RM82 8-Channel Mic/Line Mixer is taken immediately after the preamp stage, before any signal processing or adjustments.

Q: 9. Can this product be ordered in a 220V version?

A: No, the Rolls RM64 Four-Zone Mixer is only available in the US for 120V.

Q: 10. 2 Qs: 1) Does this add any coloration to the signal; 2) will this work passively while it is powered down? One of the mics I'd be running through it is a Warm WA 47, which doesn't need the phantom power. I want to be sure that I can either go through the powered-up Rolls without it affecting the signal, or turn the Rolls off and just pass through it in passive mode. Sorry for the complicated and poorly phrased question!

A: The Rolls MX310 MorMics 3-Channel Mic Mixer/Combiner requires a power supply to function and is not passive. It does not specify any features that would color the signal specifically, however most electronic circuitry will typically influence the audio signal in some manner, typically minimally.
