The Duo LCD Battery Charger II from Watson charges 1 or 2 batteries of various types via dedicated interchangeable plates, which are required and available separately. The Duo Charger can simultaneously charge 2 different battery types with different voltages. It runs on 100-240 VAC power, allowing for use all over the world. The charger also features a USB 2.0 port for charging another device simultaneously. The LCD screen provides a digital read-out of each battery's charge percentage while charging and can also show a battery's charge status via the battery test button, even when the charger is unplugged. Integrated detection circuits protect batteries from overheating while charging by automatically stopping the charging process, and also guard against dangers such as defective batteries or short circuits. The Duo includes a power cord with a 2-prong US plug, as well as a 12 VDC car charger that plugs into a cigarette lighter.

I've always liked out-of-the-camera charging devices. Those that come with many cameras are designed to charge only one battery at a time. This device will do two simultaneously - each with its own reading and charging level. The interchangeable charger plates make this one of the most practical chargers on the market. The plates are very sturdy and well made. The batteries seat with authority. No more cumbersome individual chargers plugged in around the house. No more extension cords. I like the fact that it also can be used in the car and although I haven't used it yet, the USB port adds a level of versatility. When I bought this, I added plates for three different batteries. I did not notice that they only come one per box so if you have multiple batteries of the same type, purchase two plates for each battery size. 5

Nice to have the actual capacity showing. Some have said the adapter plate comes off when retrieving the battery. I solved this by putting a Dymo label on the side of the charger where the plate attaches to the body. I have it say 7D. That way it keeps the plated from sliding off and identifies the plate attached...! 5

If you have a mixture of the OEM Canon LP-E6 batteries and the cheap non-chipped generics, this charger is great to have. It charges both types without any problems at all. The display is clear and easy to understand... no more trying to remember what your charger's LED flashes and colors mean (or worse, trying to explain the different codes to an assistant on a busy shoot). And since it charges both battery bays simultaneously, it's basically like having two chargers in one. If you have an external LCD, converter, etc that takes a different brand of battery than your camera, you can just buy a Pearstone plate for super cheap and use this charger for both battery types. So far, well worth the price! 5

I purchased this so that I could charge the dual batteries in my canon 7D battery grip. In my order I also purchased another charger (also pearstone) so that I could charge the battery for my Monitor. When I received the charger I was extremely satisfied to find out that the battery plates, that connect the charger to your battery, can be interchanged! This makes this product a must for anyone who uses multiple varieties of batteries. I was able to use the battery plate from the sony charger and use it with this device. If you do use multiple batteries on a shoot, purchase this unit and then buy the specified plates to go with each battery. The one thing that I did find is that my 3rd party CJ0621 LP-E6 replacement battery for the canon 7D would not charge with this device, I'm not sure if this is the case with all 3rd party batteries. 5

This battery charger is exactly as advertised, works great. Being able to charge two batteries at once is a huge advantage. Love the display showing level of charge and volts. I would recommend this to anyone. I can't find anything wrong with it. 5
