The MMD 935 dynamic capsule features a cardioid polar pattern that minimizes background noise and feedback.

The rugged, all-metal handheld transmitter features a backlit LCD that displays essential information and provides fast menu access. The adjustable input sensitivity on the transmitter accommodates mic levels, ranging from booming voices to quiet speech, while controls can be locked out to prevent accidental changes during a performance. The transmitter syncs to the receiver via infrared with a quick press on the Sync button.

The SK 500 G4 is powered via two AA batteries or a rechargeable BA 2015 Accupack battery (available separately). An LA 2 charging adapter (available separately) allows for recharging the Accupack without removing it from the transmitter—requires the L 2015 quick-charging unit (available separately).

The transmitter's interchangeable capsule design allows you to use a variety of optional dynamic and condenser mic capsules with pickup patterns ranging from wide omnidirectional to narrow supercardioid—capsules include the MMD 835, MMD 845, MME 865, MMD 935, MMD 945, and MMD 42.

The robust, metal EM 300-500 G4 receiver offers a high-contrast, black-&-white OLED display. The display uses a streamlined menu system with a jog wheel and dedicated Escape button for quick menu navigation. The display also shows battery status of the associated transmitter.

The system features 20 fixed frequency banks with up to 32 compatible frequency presets and 6 user banks with up to 32 user-programmable frequencies.

To prevent interference, the EM 300-500 receiver's true-diversity reception compares incoming signals on two independent receiver circuits to ensure optimal RF quality. To ensure crystal clear audio, Sennheiser's proprietary HDX compander technology maximizes the microphone's signal-to-noise ratio, while avoiding RF noise.

The built-in equalizer enables you to change the frequency response of the output signal; you can reduce the bass range and boost the treble range. The receiver also offers an adjustable output level range of 48 dB to match the audio input of your mixing board or PA system.

A headphone output with volume control is conveniently located on the front panel, allowing you to monitor your audio signal.

The back panel houses a balanced XLR output as well as an unbalanced 1/4" output. A kit is included for rackmount installation. The unit comes with a universal power supply and EU, US, UK, Korea, Australia, and China adapters.

The receiver features an Ethernet (RJ45) port for network-based remote monitoring and control using the Sennheiser Wireless System Manager (WSM) software (free download available separately). Using your Mac/Windows computer, the software allows you to quickly coordinate frequencies in multi-channel setups, display audio levels at the transmitter, battery status, and more.

The detachable antennas with BNC sockets allow you to create a larger system using up to four EM 300-500 G4 receivers connected to a single pair of remote antennas. This setup requires the ASA 214 active antenna splitter (available separately).

Adding a pair of A 1031-U omnidirectional antennas or a pair of A 2003 UHF directional antennas increases the range of your system and offers increased protection against interference.

Sennheiser offers a bodypack transmitter with a variety of lavalier and headset microphone options to adapt your EW system as your needs evolve.

  • The discrete ME 2-II and MKE 2 lavalier mics provide exceptional clarity in spoken-word applications.
  • The lightweight ME 3-II is a comfortable, durable headset microphone for active presentations.
  • The Ci 1 instrument cable lets you connect the bodypack transmitter to a guitar or bass.

Q: 1. How to attach the mirror less camera or gimbal? Photos only show a belt clip on back side.

A: The Sennheiser EW 512P G4 Camera-Mount Wireless Omni Lavalier Microphone System includes the Sennheiser CA2 Shoemount Adapter for EW Series Camera Mountable Receivers, which allows mounting onto a shoe slot.

Q: 2. Hi , can I covert these microphones to wireless charging ones?

A: This is a wireless mic and batteries may be rechargeable.

Q: 3. Purchasing two sets of this, would it be smart to buy one of each frequency range? Will both be good in NYC?

A: You can definitely use two of the Sennheiser EW 512P G4 Camera-Mount Wireless Omni Lavalier Microphone Systems that operate on the same frequency band in New York City. The system has 3,520 auto-scan frequencies for the system to select from to transmit audio and up to 32 systems can be used simultaneously on the same band.

Q: 4. is this microphone supported on the control cockpit app?

A: Yes. According to Sennheiser; Sennheiser Control Cockpit is the central software for easy handling, control and maintenance of the entire SpeechLine Digital Wireless and evolution wireless G3 and G4 portfolio as well as the new TeamConnect Ceiling 2 microphone.

Q: 5. Will the mic that comes with this (Sennheiser EW 512P) work with the AVX transmitter?

A: Yes. The MKE2 mic is an excellent mic and will work with both the EW512 P and AVX.

Q: 6. What is the size and weight of the package?

A: The package for the Sennheiser EW 100 G4-835-S (BH #SEEW100G48A1) weighs 6.575 lbs and is 16.1 x 12.7 x 3.3" (LxWxH).

Q: 7. Can I split the AF OUT of the EK500 with a 'Y' cable, run one side to my FX6's XLR, the other, to an onboard mini recorder? Thx.

A: Yes, you can use a Y-cable to split the output from a Sennheiser EK 500 Receiver to send the audio to two different devices, like two separate audio recorders, cameras, mixers, etc. You can use a cable like the Saramonic SR-UM10-CC1 3.5mm TRS to Two XLR Male Output Y-Cable for Wireless Mic Systems (B&H # SASRUM10CC1), or use an adapter like the ALZO 3.5mm Female to Dual XLR Male Stereo Microphone Adapter Cord for Pro Camcorders (B&H # AL130) together with the 3.5mm receiver output cable and, if needed, additional XLR cables to extend the length.

Q: 8. Is it possible to use both the handheld and the lavaliere at the same time with the one receiver?

A: No, only one transmitter at a time. For two wireless transmitters to work simultaneously you will need an additional system and each system will have to be tuned to different frequencies.

Q: 9. Will this work with an older EW 500 G3 receiver (if they're both set to the same frequency)?

A: Yes, the Sennheiser SK 500 G4 is compatible with the G3 series as long as there is overlap in the frequency blocks and transmitter & receiver can be set to the same frequency.

Q: 10. Is this pack of Panasonic eneloop pro AA Rechargeable NiMH Batteries (1.2V, 2550mAh, 16-Pack) is compatible with the mics?

A: The Sennheiser SKM 500 G4 Wireless Handheld Transmitter is compatible with Panasonic Eneloop Pro AA Rechargeable batteries.
