Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Does it fit a Nikon D5300?

A: Yes this housing will fit a d5300

Q: 2. Will this fit the Fuji Xt3 with 16-80mm (72mm thread)? BH overview says 67, specs say 72. Ewa marine's website says 67, but their drawing indicates 72. Can someone look at it and see if it is 72mm? thx.

A: No, the Ewa-Marine U-A Underwater Housing only works with filters up to 67mm in size. For 72mm you need the Ewa-Marine U-A100 Underwater Housing for DSLRs and Mirrorless Cameras, BH #EWEMUA100 (https://bhpho.to/3Jdj5M6). One can use step up rings for the smaller filter sizes.

Q: 3. What's the maximum focal can be used without vignette ? My gear is Sony A7RII and FE1635

A: Hi Dziung, there will always be vignetting of some sort while shooting underwater, but the limits on lenses in this housing are really the filter thread size (max is 82 mm) we recommend the widest possible settings to be used and framing where crops are possible.Hope this helps. All the best,Eric

Q: 4. Will this housing fit a nikon D90? And how easy is it to use manual controls while the camera is in the housing? Is it safe to take this housing into surf and waves along the beach?

A: Yes with lenses with a maximum filter thread of 72 mm. this housing is rated for complete submersion in up to 60 ft of water

Q: 5. can a Nikon D750 with a 24-70mm nikorr lens fit in this housing?

A: For that outfit we would reccomend the U-B Series which allows for a larger body/lens combination. filter thread is also important to not as larger filter threads such as 77 or 82 mm lenses need to utilize the 100 designation housings which have a larger front port.

Q: 6. Will this work with a Nikon D800 and what is the widest lens you can use? Will a 15mm work?

A: for the D800 i would use the U-BXP100. any lens that has a maximum 82mm filter thread will work. you always want to use the widest lens possible as there will in any underwater photography some vignetting.

Q: 7. size compatibility with Canon 50D?

A: For that model camera use the U-B series housings.

Q: 8. Can the U-A accommodate a lens that is not threaded (wide angle fish eye) or are the threads required for proper attachment?

A: It can accommodate a non threaded lens. Be sure your camera is warm and dry before it goes in the housing to reduce the chance of fogging.

Q: 9. Can I use on Canon 7 D or Cankn 5 D Mark 4?

A: for these camera systems we recommend the U-B series.

Q: 10. Can a Canon 5D Miii with a 24-70mm (Canon L-Series) fit comfortably in here?

A: The Ewa-Marine U-A Underwater Housing is too small for the Canon 5D mark III. Also the lens port could only handle lenses that have a 72mm filter thread. The Canon EF 24-70mm f/2.8L II USM has a 82mm filter thread. The Ewa-Marine U-BF100 Underwater Housing is large enough for the Canon 5D Mark III and the lens port can handle lenses with a 82mm filter thread.

I choose this 45 degree viewfinder because not always have plenty space to shoot being completely vertical. This viewfinder allows me to be horizontal and be able to shoot perfectly
