A: From Eartec: The Comstar XT-8 is a full duplex system for 8 users total. The system has a base station that allows up to 8 total users. The headsets are considered a heavy duty weighing 14-16 oz. The HUB7SMXS is a full duplex system for 8 users. The system has a base station that allows up to 9 users (1) wired headset (8) wireless headsets. The headsets are mis-weight 5-78 oz. Both systems operate on the same frequency however the two systems can’t talk to one another. If you were going to use these systems for industrial purposes or loud environments I would choose Comstar XT-8. If you were using this system for theater, videography or photography I would suggest HUB7SMXS.
