Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Do these mics produce two mono signals, meaning the left mic is the left channel and the other mic is on the right channel? Or are they mixed into stereo, both mics on the right and left channel? Thanks!

A: Each microphone is sent to a separate channel (left and right).

Q: 2. Is this compatible with the Canon 5D mark 3 camera?

A: Yes - the Canon EOS 5Dmk3 offers the requisite plug-in power .

Q: 3. Are the clips removable?

A: yes.

Q: 4. Is it compatible with Tascam DR-40? If "yes", what adapter I have to use?

A: Yes, you can use the MM-ML with the Tascam DR-40. Use a Rode VXLR+ 3.5mm TRS Female to XLR Male Adapter with Phantom Power Converter (B&H #ROVXLRP) to convert the mic's 3.5mm plug to XLR as well as to convert 48V phantom power from the recorder into low voltage plug-in power suitable for the microphone.

Q: 5. What's the difference between those and the BSM-9 of the same brand. I'm looking to do binaural recording with Silicone Ears. I've the Roland CS-10EM, would that compare? I'm trying to find the best around this price range. Cheers.

A: The BSM-7 and BSM-9 are similar aside from the capsules used. The BSM-7 uses a Panasonic 61 series capsule. The specs and size differ slightly from the BSM-9. BSM-7 capsules are smaller in size and offer better specs in dynamic range and signal to noise ratio. Both are comparable to the Roland CS-10EM with similar listed specs.

Q: 6. Will this work with E-M1 Mark II?

A: The MM-LAPEL-2 is compatible with the Olympus OM-D E-M1 Mark II.

Q: 7. Will this work with the Zoom h1?

A: I have used this product with the zoom H6 only, and it works well.I am not sure about the zoom h1. If there is a connection on the device, it should work just fine.

Q: 8. Does it work with wireless equipment? Sennheiser G3/Rodelink, etc?

A: This lavalier mic does have a 3,.5mm connection,.and it will work well with the Rode Wirelss Go system. But be aware that the Sennheiser systems as well as the Rodelink systems require a locking 3.5mm connection, so this mic may not make a secure connection and can easily pop out with those transmitters.

Q: 9. Will this work with the Rode Go wireless system?

A: Yes it will.

Q: 10. Will this mic work in the Canon 70D dslr?

A: Yes, this mic will work with the 70d.
