The 46" Roto-Molded Tripod Case with Wheels from SKB is designed to hold your tripod or light stands. Foam in the lid and bottom protect your equipment from bumps and dings. Your gear is accessible via the removable top. Closure is achieved by adjustable web straps and a high-tension buckle. Both sides of the case have spaces for shipping labels. The case features quiet-glide in-line skate wheels with a top tow handle.

Rotational molding is a three-stage heating process that results in evenness all around the edges of the case. The polyethylene material is inserted into a mold, and then gradually rotated until the material sticks to the edges of the mold in an even pattern. Once cooled, this plastic material forms a strong bond that minimizes sagging and potential collapse.

A: Hi Shaun, That is correct. The reasoning for that is the 37 tripod case (1SKB-R3709W) has a diameter of 9 vs. the 1SKB-R3411W which has a diameter of 11 . In production they used a touch more plastic in the 1SKB-R3411W which put the weight of the 1SKB-R3411W tripod to 15 lbs. Thank you,Will

A: Yes, the Sachtler Flowtech 75 MS Carbon Fiber Tripod with Mid-Level Spreader and Rubber Feet (BH #SA4585) will fit inside the SKB Roto-Molded Tripod Case with Wheels (37"), though you may want to consider a shorter case, as the tripod is 26.8" in height when closed, so in this case there would a good bit of extra room. However, should you also have a fluid head mounted to the legs the height of the head should also be considered.

A: Hi Lynette, Yes, you can check these at the airport although there are better solutions if you tend to fly with this gear a lot. These tripod cases have clips keeping the lid on so if the case gets hit in just the right way it could open the lid. If you were consistently checking these for fly dates then I would recommend our 3i-3613-12BE (empty), 3i-3613-12BL (with foam)or 3i-2213-12BE (empty), or 3i-2213-12BC (with foam). These options are made to take much more abuse from being shipped or checked on airlines. Also these options have pull out handle and wheels where the 1SKB-R2411 does not. If you purchase any of these cases empty or use the 1SKB-R2411 I would recommend putting the tripods and heads in sleeves or padded bags if flying.
