Q: 1. I'm looking to do a newborn shoot and I, don't want to use my studio lights has any one used this set up for newborn photography?

A: I bought the setup exactly for newborn photography. I will not us strobes with a newborn. Set up the shot ahead of time using a teddy bear for test lighting. I use a beanbag covered with fuzzy material to hold the baby with mommy close by. Also use reflectors for fill and back light from the Octabox lights or from natural light. You can use a light background cloth on supports

Q: 2. how do I refold the tent?

A: Push two sides together collapsing the tent into a 4 stack of sides. Then twist and collapse the the stack down. It folds down the same way a 5-1 reflector does.

Q: 3. Is there a grid that will work with this?

A: Unfortunately, Impact does not offer a grid for this light kit.

Q: 4. Will 2 of these lights be enough for portraits of 2-3 people at a time? Thanks!

A: Yes, 2 lights should be enough light for even more people in a studio w background setting. 6 lights each provides plenty of light. You can use the full 6 lights for main and turn off 2 for fill light. You might still want to consider a smaller light source for head light as well as one for the background.

Q: 5. Even w/ the diffuser I keep getting vertical lines in iphone photos. I have to turn the lights all the way down to reduce. Fix?

A: When using Neewer Tabletop Photo Studio Light Tent (24 x 24") with an iPhone the protective glass may cause reflections, which is not possible to remove unless you would use external top down lighting.

Q: 6. Does the head also have an umbrella receptacle?

A: No.

Q: 7. what size octobox does this include?

A: 29.5

Q: 8. Does this include the bulbs? If so, which ones and what's the color temp?

A: Yes, it does include bulbs. 32w 60Hz 5300 - 5800k

Q: 9. Will this tilt back far enough to aim the light straight up at the ceiling?

A: Yes, good for bouncing light off the ceiling or a reflector

Q: 10. Could these fluorescent bulbs be replaced with 100 watt daylight LED bulbs? I would think that the LED bulbs would not get as hot.....

A: Yes you can use LED bulbs, but I'm not sure what the max wattage the fixture can take if you use 6x 100w.Most household LED bulbs commonly CRI 50-70ish, so try find some with CRI 90+ for better coloring.

If you need an infinite white background to photograph small objects and are working on a budget, I would highly recommend the MS20. I have been able to turn out great fully lit photos with this lighting system. The only drawback came with the initial set-up, even thought the unit came with step by step instructions, it was a bit of a puzzle. After putting it together, I don't know why it seemed vague. Nevertheless, it was totally worth the effort. Minor note: when you attach the paper reflector stand to the paper reflector, place the bottom of the stand 1/16 ABOVE the base of the paper reflector. In this way, when using the reflectors near the cyclorama, they will be more stable. When flush mounted as instructed, tipping and flopping of the reflector is a minor challenge.

I have been trying to take pictures of my products for 6 months with a cheap cloth light box. The results were awful and I could not get a picture without a reflection. I purchased a Mystudio 20 and the results have been phenomenal. The flexibility of the lighting and the seamless backround made the difference. I now can take clear and consistent pictures of my products. Brian Biviano@

Fantastic quality! Easy to use and reconfigure. I have seen people make these out of cardboard and such, but they are never as easy to use or as good as this thing is. Super lighting and it breaks down and reconfigures instantly. My ebay stuff never looked this good. I made my money back in 2 days with the better photos and speed of taking pics. Highly recommended. DURABLE!

I wasn't getting my hopes up for this lightbox which probably adds to why I really like it. I work in public affairs and sell hats and tees online. Often, I'll bring my lights and accessories to work and it's become a real pain to lug my stands and lights back home, then set up the lights to get a few product shots. This simple setup is going to save me a ton of time and energy whenever I'm taking photos of hats or folded tees. It's super lightweight and well constructed. I'm also surprised about the quality of the color backgrounds. I assumed they were paper but they're made of durable plastic which really helps set each background in place and clean when they get dirty. I love the ability to open flaps to take photos from the front or top of the box or to just unzip the entire front panel. I gotta say. For less than a $100, I wish I had purchased this much sooner. Also to be fully transparent, I've only taken some test shots once it arrived. Haven't really gotten much work out of it yet.

This kit way outshines the typical light cube and provides much better results and less editing post shooting to clean up background. Make sure to follow the instructions to sand the base/backdrop as this only enhances your photos.

Comes with...
- The box with built-in LED lights
- LED light diffuser
- 4 solid color backdrops (thick plastic, not paper)
- A dimmer switch

The LED strip will overheat after about 10 minutes of continuous use at 100%, but an easy workaround is to dim the lights when doing product setup. At 50% it can run continuously without overheating. The entire stage can collapse down to a flat 24x24x0.5 which is extremely portable, and is set up in about 30 seconds with the built-in velcro at the edges.

The tent top and front have many configurations all the way from opening the entire side to several decreasing sizes of windows in order to reflect as much light as possible.

Fully constructed, the tent could probably hold ~5lbs of weight if you really wanted to stack stuff on top of it, but it's by no means meant to be a tornado shelter.

For the price, it's exactly what I expected and would recommend it to anybody looking for a light tent.

If you do not want to invest a lot of money into taking professional product pictures, this is for you. We run a webshop with around 500 products. By using this, we were able to reduce the amount of time editing pictures in PhotoShop. Great inexpensive setup, would recommend.

I bought this kit for the lighted photo studio kit with the seamless white background and the jewelry photo props and I couldn't be happier with how they have helped my jewelry photography. I agree with the other photographer that the tripod is a bit cheap, but if that's why you bought this kit then you maybe aren't that smart. As for the photo studio, the seamless background design with a corner is pure genius and lets me shoot from different angles and still get the seamless floating effect. The lighting is very soft and even and that alone saves me tons of time. The props included in the jewelry kit are pretty simple, and I guess you could go try and find similar stuff somewhere else, but for the convenience of having it all together it is more than worth it to just buy the kit. The reflective acrylic panels and wax are so handy in photographing jewelry that I don't know how I got along with out them. Unless you are a professional with your own studio this is a great kit for anyone needing to improve their jewelry photography, or any small products for that matter.

I am very pleased with the ease of setup and ease of use. The material seems quite durable. The lighting is consistent and easy to control. The backgrounds fit perfectly. I would like to see additional background colors available. Would love to see this available in a larger size—would buy a larger one in a heartbeat!
