The TridA-Pre Musical Equalizer Plug-In download from Arturia is an emulation of the classic '60s and '70s Trident A Range console that became well known for its gorgeous, musical EQ, and the full, rich tone it imparts. This EQ plug-in can be used by producers, sound engineers, and artists on Mac and Windows computers, to capture a taste of that harmonically rich, classic tone in your DAW and music programs.
The TridA-Pre allows you to creatively shape your signal with low, high mid, low mid, and low EQ bands. Each has 4 switchable frequencies calibrated to match the original unit's specification. These can be cut or boosted by 15 dB independently on the left and right channels or linked together. This gives you great freedom to shape your sound in a stereo space.
Furthermore, notch out the high end at 9, 12, or 15 kHz, or hit 2 or 3 switches to make more dramatic changes. Use the input gain to create super-subtle overtones to growling solid-state drive. To bring the EQ legend up to date, some optional enhancements have been added to make the most of your DAW: EQ bypass, automatic gain control, phase inversion, and stereo link. Now, thanks to the TridA-Pre Musical Equalizer, you can add the iconic tone and enjoy those sounds from that golden age of the recording studio.

Related Questions and Answers
Q: 1. With regard to the switch. is O on and | off?
A: O is on. It's hard to see in the field sometimes. The pre-trigger button should go towards the camera. Your display will be deactivated when the camera is pre-triggered so if you can read your menus etc. you are not pre-triggered.
Q: 2. Can this EQ be used in mixing or mastering?
A: The Rolls RPQ160b is a Parametric EQ so you can use it on what ever you want.
Q: 3. What adapter is needed for the SA-51
A: You can use this Casio AD-E95100 AC Adapter for the Casio SA-51 Portable Keyboard.
Q: 4. Is there a way to record an iPhone or Android via USB into a computer?
A: It would be helpful to have more information about how the phone will be used in your application. If you want to record phone conversations, you could use the JK Audio CellTap 4C Wireless Phone Audio Tap Adapter (B&H # JKCELLTAP4C) and connect the phone's headphone jack to send audio from the phone to the CellTap 4C, then instead of using a traditional audio recorder, send the output from CellTap 4C to the input on a USB audio interface which will connect to your computer via USB. For a simple USB audio interface, you can use the Audio-Technica Consumer ATR2x-USB 3.5mm to USB 2.0 Type-C Audio Adapter (B&H # AUATR2XUSB). Adapters will be needed to connect to the Lightning port on an iPhone and perhaps for the Android phone, depending on whether or not it has a 3.5mm headphone jack. For iPhone, use the Apple Lightning to 3.5mm Headphone Jack Adapter (B&H # APLAADAP) combined with a 3.5mm TRRS cable like the IK Multimedia TRRS Audio Cable (B&H # IKIPCSTOMP) to connect the iPhone to the "Phone" input on the CellTap 4C, and connect a microphone like the wired Apple headset with a 3.5mm TRRS connector to the "Headset" jack. Then use a standard aux cable like the Pearstone Stereo Mini Male to Stereo Mini Male Cable - Black, 3' (B&H # PEMMSA103B) to connect to the USB audio interface (or a standard audio recorder). For an Android phone with a 3.5mm headphone jack, use the same setup without the Lightning adapter. For an Android phone with USB-C, use the same setup with a USB-C adapter such as the Comica Audio CVM-SPX-UC 3.5mm TRRS Female to USB Type-C Audio-Interface Cable for Android (B&H # COCVMSPXUC) instead of the Lightning adapter. The Arturia AudioFuse Rev2 will allow you to send audio from its output into your phone to use the phone as a recorder. You would not be able to connect your phone to the AudioFuse as an input device via USB because the phone will see it as a charging port.
Q: 5. Does this one get hot as well? and do i need to power it by dc or can i plug it in by usb for my shure sm7b?
A: This unit can be bus powered without the need of the dc power supply. In doing so, please note that the overall output level of the device is reduced from +24db output to +18db output in order to compensate for the bus power. When possible, it's recommended to always use the power supply.
Q: 6. It looks like this doesn't come with a power supply. If that is correct, is there an approved one for this unit?
A: The KeyStep offers two options for powering. The USB port can connect to a computer for both power and data. The USB cable can also be used with a wall plug (the type that you would use to charge a phone), such as the Xuma 2.4A USB Charger with Folding Prongs (B&H # XUCAC124). The other option for powering is to use a standard 9V DC 500mA center positive (5.5 X 2.1 X 12mm) power adapter, such as the BOSS PSA-120S AC Adapter (B&H # BOPSA120S2). Here is a link for the product manual -- see page 15 for info regarding the power options. http://downloads.arturia.net/products/keystep/manual/KeyStep_Manual_1_0_0_EN.pdf
Q: 7. Can it control 2 midi synths at a time, each with distinct, but synced patterns? If so, what to know when setting this up? THanks!
A: Yes. You can control up to three devices with the Beatstep. Here is a forum post from Arturia on how to do it. https://forum.arturia.com/index.php?topic=89269.0
Q: 8. will the PTMM connector sync shutter with flash?
A: If you have a Pocket Wizard unit connected with this adapter along with a cable release, you would need a second Pocket Wizard unit connected to the flash as well.
Q: 9. Any updates on when the item will be in stock?
A: We do not have a firm date from this manufacturer, but we will notify you as soon as we do if you choose to sign up for an e-mail stock notification right on the product's webpage.
Q: 10. Hi there anyone tried to use Arturia Beatstep Controller & Sequencer, in roland V-1HD video switcher? I need to control the audio and add some custom keys to effects. Thanks
A: The Arturia Beatstep is a universal MIDI controller that allows users to control software programs. You may use it to control audio functions within a program and parameters within the given program, but not the Roland V-1HD.
