Made in Vermont, the lightweight and durable AO-688S Silent Audio Organizer Bag from Porta Brace is designed to carry and protect a Sound Devices 688 recorder or a variety of other field mixers.

The AO-688S keeps things quiet while recording thanks to its nearly noiseless magnetic connectors and rubber-tipped zippers, which prevent the sound of metal on metal. The bag features back, bottom, and full side openings. It has fully detachable side panels that provide easy access to the recorder's inputs/outputs and memory card slots.

A large front pocket can hold any extra equipment, while the MOLLE strips attached to the pocket allow the user to clip or hang receivers, cables, headphones, and so on. There are also transmitter hop pouches on either side as well as a zippered flask holder. The included Piggin' String lends a hand with longer coils of cables and extension cords.

The bag is made from waterproof 1000-denier Cordura, and has a light but strong aluminum frame, protecting the gear in rough environments including rain and snow. The interior keeps your gear safe with its soft and protective Veltex material. Two padded dividers provide extra protection. One of the dividers is equipped with a removable elastic wireless holder that can accommodate up to three wireless units.

The AO-688S can be carried using the durable nylon handles with suede grip, or for longer wear, with the included AH-2HB audio harness or the HB-10M adjustable suede shoulder strap (available separately). A CARA-BRNZ carabiner with flashlight is also included.
