Built with thick padding inside and out, the Orca Video Backpack is rugged and durable. A: Unfortunately, the dimensions of the removable pouch are not listed for the ORCA DSLR Backpack. Looking in the photos there is a full sized hot shoe flash inside the pouch. Those flashes usually measure around 6 x 3 inches. In terms of depth it is deeper than a flash, should be around 4 inches deep.

A: Yes, the MixPre6 will fit nicely in the OR-27.

Its a question because when you set the bag down the shoulder straps will be on the ground. If the ground is wet, your shoulder straps will become wet too. So what is the point of having a waterproof bottom If you shoulder straps can't come off and get soaked if you put it down?

A: The straps cannot be removed, and a shoulder strap cannot be attached. However, I should note that in terms of popularity, the backpacks are more popular then the shoulder bags these days, since it is a more comfortable (for most people) way to carry a heavy load.The backpack does not have the special waterproof fabric on the bottom that the shoulder bag does. It is not possible with the backpack harness and belt. Also, the waterproof fabric would tun the harness into a sweat machine when carried on a hot day since it would never ventilate.
