Q: 1. I am buying for an air conditionner that is 208/230V and INPUT: 1,510/1,470 W. Would it work? or should i cancel the order and call an electrician?
A: We have run a 1500W air conditioner on a 5000W unit with no problems, I would be hesitant to use a 2000W unit, initial draw is higher then running current. I basically double the power need for a piece of equipment when buying transformers. My 2000W will only have 800w to 1000W plugged into it.
Q: 2. I have a Europen coffee machine with spec 220V/1710Watt, will it work with this converter in US?
A: Yes, it will work. I had the same. Nespresso machine bought in the UK hence i needed this. It now works!
Q: 3. can this be plugged into a standard generator, not an inverter based generator?
A: No need to invest in an inverter generator for this transformer. A standard conventional generator should work fine.
Q: 4. I just received and it went from 119 to 121,is that normal? then back to 119 and stayed there
A: Yes electricity fluctuates this is normal for Furman to read out like that.
Q: 5. Is this product CSA or c-UL approved?
A: Furman lists this unit as cTUVus certified. For additional information please contact Furman directly at 877-486-4738 or info@a href= http://furmansound.com target= _blank furmansound.com/a
Q: 6. I am trying to use this converter to run my 220v Air Conditioner through 110v outlet. The circuit breaker shuts every 5-10 min of resettingWhat am I doing wrong?
A: Hello. What is the maximum Cooling Wattage of your Air Conditioner ? For security and performance, those kind of transformer should be use as 1.5*the max of your device. Meaning that in fact this 2,000 W is recommended for a device with a W max equal to 1,300-1,400W. Then if your Air Conditioner max W is 2,000W then you need to 3,000W transformer to avoid those kind of issues. Hope this help.
Q: 7. Hello, I would like to know what is the maximum amount of Amps that this unit can carry? I plan to connect it to an APC UPS that is designed for 110 Voltage Input but I am residing in the Philippines and the Voltage here is 220 Volts. I then plan to connect up to 5 external hard drives to the UPS. I know they draw very low current but I need to know to be safe before purchasing. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank You. John
A: The Sevenstar TC-2000 Step Up/Step Down Transformer (2,000W) would be 9.09 Amps on 220v to the UPS on the Sevenstar TC-2000 Step Up/Step Down Transformer (2,000W).
Q: 8. Will the 5000w work in Europe from 220v to110v I have appliances from USA and I need to transform the voltage from 220v to 110v
A: I recently bought same and believe it will work. Good luck
Q: 9. Will I be able to run a 220-240v welder safely on this converter?
A: Hi there, I think it will, as long as it is in the Watt range. This one is for up to 2000W. I hope it helps!
Q: 10. What is the maximum wattage if converting from 110v to 220v? (I am in North America with an EU product).
A: The specs says the maximum wattage for the Sevenstar AR-5000 Automatic Voltage Regulator is 5000 W
