The tweeter features a wide-roll surround and brings response up to 35 kHz for enhanced high frequencies. The waveguide also helps improve directivity control and eliminate the diffraction modes common to speaker enclosures.

The shape of the aramid fiber cone is designed to offer augmented stiffness and damping characteristics over polypropylene or paper cones, helping to achieve a smoother, extended low-frequency response. The woofer also features an oversized magnet and a vented pole piece.

The cabinets are internally braced for enhanced stiffness and strength, reducing cabinet vibrations that cause unwanted coloration. Moving the bass port to the front of the cabinet means placement against walls or in bookshelves won't compromise performance.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Does a Dayton Audio SUB-1000 subwoofer pair with these or not needed for listening to music?

A: I do not see why not. The subwoofer choice is more defined by the size of the room and the the type of music listened to.

Q: 2. Will I notice an improvement from the Elac Debut 2.0 6.2?

A: Yes, these are much improved! THWE new series of Debut loudspeakers has been redesigned from the ground up: gone is the rear firing reflex port (now it is a front firing air duct), woofers and tweeters have been replaced by new units and the MDF cabinets have been reinforced to reduce colourations and vibrations. See Elac info here: https://www.elac.com/series/debut-2-0/

Q: 3. Is a Onkyo TX-8020 Stereo Receiver good for this set?

A: Yes. These ELAC speakers will perform very well with your receiver: Onkyo TX-8020: 50 watts x 2 (stereo) into 8 ohms (20-20,000 Hz) at 0.08% THD

Q: 4. Would the NAD C 316BEE V2 amplifier pair well with these speakers?

A: This ELAC pair will work nicely with your NAD C316BEE V2 integrated amplifier.

Q: 5. Is this device compatible with a Denon CEOL N10?

A: The Denon CEOL RCD-N10 has a RCA Subwoofer Output. It will be able to connect to the Elac Debut 2.0 with a Subwoofer (RCA) cable.

Q: 6. Will Denon PMA-600ne have good enough power to drive the elac debut b62?

A: It sure will.

Q: 7. Will these speakers work well as rear channel speakers with a system powered by a Yamaha RX-V485 receiver?

A: Yes they will very well as rear surround speakers.

Q: 8. Is Yamaha R-N303D Network Stereo Receiver capable of bringing out the best from this pair of speakers?

A: These are very sensitive 6 ohm speakers. The Yamaha R-N303D, while an excellent receiver, is not designed for 6 ohms, and is less than ideal. It can power the speakers, but could conceivably be damaged at high volume.

Q: 9. Will these maintain sound quality if placed on their side tweeter to tweeter. I have limited space.?

A: The ELAC Debut ConneX DCB41 Two-Way Active Bookshelf Speakers (Black Ash, Pair), BH # ELDCB41BK, may be placed on their sides, but will sound best with wider high-end dispersion when oriented vertically.

Q: 10. Is it taller than it is deep or deeper than it is tall? Cab't tell by description and images

A: Resting on a long side with the speakers facing out, it is 17 wide, 7 deep (7 3/4 including the grille), and 5 3/4 high...and the sound is great.

in a dedicated room at my office I decided to install a music enjoying corner.
As I am not a musician my only opinion comes from closing my eyes and listen carefully favorite songs and performances. Frequent genre is classical and chamber music. After installing the speakers first piece was 4 Seasons (A Vivaldi) and could not believe the fidelity, space and depth of music. Any one can enjoy using this pair of spekers

These speakers are AWESOME.
For $249.00 (on sale) to $299.00 ... you can't beat them, it's a no-brainer.
I push them with a NAD C338, rated at only 50 watts per channel at 8 ohms.
These speakers are 6 ohms, so I estimate they will get close to 115 watts IHF Dynamic Power with the NAD's super clean THD rating.
I have also filled in the bottom end with a Dayton Audio SUB-1000.
It is debatable that these speakers need a sub-woofer, sure it helps, but you won't be disappointed without one.
On a budget, I have heard that the Yamaha R-S202 Receiver will push these speakers adequately; however, the power is not as clean & smooth as the NAD.

Bottom Line: Probably the BEST value in a bookshelf speaker I have seen in 30+ years - no lie. With good power, you will NOT be disappointed. I'm way 'more' than happy with them : )
