absorbs ink extremely well, beautiful finish

I run a small fine art business. I need top quality paper but I can't stock too many rolls. I have been shopping online, comparing price, etc. So far B&H's supply is most reliable and prompt,... (I buy two rolls each time). So there you go.

This is a high quality, thick paper. I made a 90 foot long, 90 page accordion book with it- the paper is substantial enough to give the book structural integrity. It is well packaged also

This paper has a bright white and no texture to the surface, neither does it have any sheen. Epson inks love this paper and produce a sharp image that has presence. I'm using it in a 7900 to make prints of my interiors shots for designers. My clients love it. Additionally, it's so inexpensive I make prints just to see how something looks, not fearing that I'm burning hundred dollar bills. The surface is subject to abrasion as you would expect with a matte paper. I've trained my clients to treat it with care. The paper has a nice weight to it.

This product is excellent for proofing photographs and even for exhibition purposes if displayed correctly. Compared to other (more expensive matte papers) I find this one to create the most consistant results with the widest range of images. The paper does scratch relatively easily but it resist kinking more than others. Large prints from this paper can seem insubstantial when handled for two reasons. Firstly the paper is thin, and secondly because blacks seem flat and the colors seem muted. ALL OF THIS CHANGES BEHIND GLASS. When placed behind glass, Blacks become deep, and Colors become vibrant. I keep a sheet of Plexi next to my printer for quickly viewing prints as they will appear framed. Sharpness of details is also excellent by the way. I don't sell prints on this paper, because I have heard mixed things about how archival it is. (First epson said it was, then they said is was not and now I hear it is again.) I have used this paper in exhibitions though, and people have always been impressed with the results. In short, this paper does not have the majestic heavyweight feel of a Hahnemuhle rag, but it is consistant, sharp and very inexpensive! Cheap enough to experiment and be creative, without the nagging feeling that you might as well just feed money directly into your printer. If you are framing behind glass, you will find matte papers will look much better than luster or glossy.

I use Epson Enhanced Matte papers for proofing my photographic images. While developing an image I use the letter size, but when preparing for a large fine art print or canvas gallery wrap I proof the image full size. Often you see things you cannot see on a smaller print.

This paper looks great with posters. Not too glossy, which is great too. Colors are wonderful, and doesn't bleed.
