A: The PAG Mini PAGlink MPL50G Battery (50Wh) (B&H# PA7141) can join with another of its kind and the two would deplete at the same time, yes. When hot swapping, you would be replacing the battery that is not connected directly to the battery plate nor the D-tap cable. That way, it would not interrupt the power going to the battery plate or D-tap cable. There does need to be a bit of power in that battery in order for hot swapping to be possible, however. Fortunately, it's a quick procedure to remove one battery from the other and then add a freshly charged one in its stead.

Q: 2. Is it possible to provide power to the module via the Anton Bauer P-Tap Charger that's plugged into the wall?

A: The Hawk-Woods Sony FX9 Battery Plate with D-Tap & USB Out (Gold Mount) combined with the Sony FX6, does have the same power requirements with the FX9. This has only been tested with the FX9, so we can only speak for how it was made to operate.

A: I'm afraid not, this is specifically to charge PAGLink Batteries.

A: If you consider using the edelkrone power module you would be able to power up your each edelkrone setup with a single battery (Gold Mount or V- Mount). For instance, if you would like to use V-Mount battery, you need to buy the Power Module V-Mount. Both of these Power Module's have 4 DC output socket, so, in terms of operation, there is not any difference in between them as well. A Gold Mount battery cannot be attached to the V-Mount Power Adapter and vice versa. On the other hand, V-Mount and Gold Mount batteries have D-Tap output on their bodies. Power Module's D-Tap port allows the user to power up their different devices (for instance, camera) by using a D-Tap cable from the Power Module.

Q: 8. Can this charger charge batteries while it is powering a camera through the xld output or can it only do one of those two functions at a time? Thx

A: According to PAGlink, Operation: The camera power supply function is operated by pressing and holding the Camera PSU button on the chargers front panel for 1 second. Charging is suspended whilst the power supply is in use.

A: I have the power supply charger AB unit. They do charge with that, the battery manages the charging though, so special AB functions aren’t used. I bought them because I had the charger from a legacy camera I bought, and I didn’t want to spend more. So I bought used PAGs and I don’t regret it. They have served me well so far.

A: While this unit should charge most other 3rd Party Gold Mount Batteries, Anton Bauer Gold Mount batteries tend to only work on Anton Bauer Chargers. We would not recommend this charger for an Anton Bauer Gold Mount Battery.
