With a luster surface finish and micropore texture, this 250-sheet pack of 11 x 17" Premium Photo Luster Paper from Premier Imaging offers artists and photographers a luxurious E-surface for presenting their work. The resin-coated base offers a basis weight of 260 gsm along with a thickness of 10.4 mil. Also, it features a bright white finish thanks to the addition of optical brightening agents. The medium dries nearly instantly and is water-resistant to help limit damage from handling.

A: Epson Ultra Premium Luster or any luster paper will use the photo black ink in the printer.

A: This is considered a glossy finish.

Q: 3. Will this paper work with a Canon GP 2000 large format printer?

A: Yes. The Epson Ultra Premium Luster Photo Paper (13 x 19", 50 Sheets) can be used in a Canon GP2000 printer. However, there would be no ICC profile available.

Q: 4. How accurate is the white and is there a color shift regardless of printer?

A: The Photo Luster 290 Inkjet is 110% white and the image will fade over time, unless using a glaze that rejects UV light.

Q: 5. Is this paper archival quality?

A: Yes it is archival paper.

Q: 6. Which side is the correct one?

A: The side to print on is the shiny one. The direction you load it depends on your printer.

Q: 7. I have an Epson printer stylus 1400, and old one . What is the maximum thickness of photo paper that I can use in my printer ?

A: The Epson Stylus 1400 can handle papers from .003 to .004 inches or .08 to .11 mm in thickness. If you're interested in Hahnemuhle Photo Luster 290, it is 290 microns in thickness. or .29 mm, so the Epson Stylus 1400 cannot handle that thickness. You can use Epson photo papers if they are within the specs and I believe most are for that printer series. The thickness should be indicated on the box or in the specs for the paper.

Q: 8. Is this acid free?

A: Yes, and Wilhelm Research has estimated the archivability of color prints on Epson Premium Ultra Luster to be 80 years. Also, I use Premier Art Print Shield to finish my images.

Q: 9. Does this 250 sheet pack come in a sturdy box with a lid, or the same type of packaging (end flap opening) as the 50 sheet packs?

A: It has end flap opening. I've ordered several boxes in the past few years and 2 have arrived with corners bent. I'm sure BH would have exchanged, but I trim down for a custom size and was able to cut off bent corner. Hopefully BH starts bubble wrapping.

Q: 10. Is this paper double sided?

A: It is not. Great paper.

Opening the .tif image in Canon Print Studio Pro and selecing the Lightweight Photo Paper, Use ICC Profile, Canon Pro-1000 XPS, Perceptual Rendering, and High Print Quality settings, the printer produces exceptionally fine prints on the Epson Glossy Paper. 5

This product has definitely changed the way that I share my work. I now have a physical copy that I can now hold and see and be proud to frame. There is something about the material that makes it that much more professional and gives you a feeling of satisfaction every time you print your work. It's something you look forward to that no other digital copy can replicate. The only thing that I would like is to take a look at the more expensive thicker brand of luster material. 5
