Designed to pick up two discrete sound sources and output them to one mono destination, the Savage Dual Head Lapel Microphone offers two omnidirectional capsules with a 24' cable in between them. This makes it easy to pin each mic to an interview subject and take a single output to a variety of destinations. As such, the Dual Head Lapel Microphone is suitable for ENG and field-recording applications.

The microphone terminates in a single 3.5mm TRS connection. However, if you want to use the microphone with a modern GoPro camera, a USB adapter has been provided. Likewise, if you want to use the microphone with smartphones or DSLR cameras, a TRS to 3.5mm TRRS adapter is included. You'll also note the padded carry bag for transportation, two low-profile windsocks, and two artificial-fur windsocks for use in high-wind environments.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. I want to use this microphone with Tascam DR_05 recorders. Is that possible? Does the recorder supply the power? The tech page notes -- Requires a bias voltage of 1.5 to 10 VDC (plug-in power) or a battery module.

A: The Tascam DR-05 is able to supply plug-in power to mics that require it.

Q: 2. Do these rotate?

A: Yes. The round portion of the WindTech TC-5 Universal Tie/Lapel Clip for Lav Microphone that holds the mic does rotate so you can position the mic as needed.

Q: 3. Can I use several WASP270L at an outdoor event within 50 ft from each other? Will there be interference if we use wired mics?

A: The Technical Pro WASP270L Rechargeable Portable Speaker with Wireless UHF Lapel Microphone operates on a narrow UHF band, so interference is very likely if multiple units are used in close proximity. Ultimately, results may vary when using the wireless microphones based on the location, environment, and any obstructions. There should be no problem with interference if using the WASP270L with wired microphones instead of the wireless mics.

Q: 4. Bought this for the Rode wireless Go, and it doesn’t seem to work. Non compatible or faulty lav you think?

A: The EX-507XD is not compatible with the the Wireless Go, which uses a standard TRS 3.5mm input. The EX-507XD has a TRRS 3.5mm plug which works with the Azden PRO-XD and with smartphone headphone inputs. A lavalier mic of ours that is compatible would be the EX-503.

Q: 5. Will this clip work with the Tech Pro UHF Wireless Microphone the clip is almost the same even how the clip screws in ?

A: This clip is only compatible with the William Sounds Mic 054 or Mic 090 mini lapel microphones.

Q: 6. Does it work in the ATR 3350 Audio technica?

A: Williams recommends that the CLP090 be used with their MIC 054 and their MIC 090. I would go with the B&H#AUTCOLM10 and play it safe.

Q: 7. Does this work with the DJI Mic?

A: Yes, the DJI offers 3.5mm jacks which the mic will adapt to.

Q: 8. can you hook this up to a 1/4 inch jack or input?

A: Not by itself. You need to either change the plug or buy an 1/8 to 1/4 adapter

Q: 9. Will this mic work with the Azden 15BT wireless transmitter?

A: No it will not. The EX-507XD works with the PRO-XD transmitter and most mobile devices when plugged into the headset port, but will not work with other Azden transmitters. For the 15BT you should purchase either the EX-503L or EX-50L microphone.

Q: 10. how long is the cable?

A: Hi, the cable is 4.1 feet. Thank you for shopping at B&H!
