The coiled cable that I have did not move around at all during the slight breeze it endured and my images were sharp. It seems the weight or bulkiness of the cable prevents movement during a slight breeze. I used the wireless remote so the cable was attached to the camera via the hot shoe attachment. Using this configuration, there is enough coil in the cable so that you can wrap it around part of your tripod or camera to avoid any unnecessary movement of the cable. You have two connection options. Connect the cable from your camera directly to the hand held trigger (and this is why the cable is so long) or connect the cable from your camera to the hot shoe attachment so that you may use your tirgger wirelessly/remotely.
