The PEPAMPBASS Portable Bass Preamp Pedal from Palmer is a versatile preamp that provides sound shaping options for active and passive bass guitar instruments. It can be used as a multipurpose effects pedal and preamp for gigging, recording, or practicing, and features clean, overdrive, and fuzz modes, with adjustable drive and saturation controls, 3-band EQ with semi-parametric mid control, and is tuned for bass guitar with vintage or modern cabinet simulations.

This pocket preamp provides an insert for external effects, a 1/8" stereo line input, a headphones output for quiet play-along practice, and a footswitch-assignable thru jack for silent tuning. For DI applications, the balanced XLR output is pre-or post-signal processing and is switchable. In addition, the PEPAMPBASS Portable Bass Preamp Pedal is powered by a 9V battery or power adapter and enclosed in a rugged, diecast aluminum case with heavy-duty footswitch, convenient LED status indicators, and a ground lift.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. is this power supply dual voltage and hrtz?

A: Based on what we can tell, this power supply would be dual voltage and dual hertz.

Q: 2. Are the input and output impedances in this description correct? They're backwards from other the other Bellari preamp, and mismatched for common turntable cartridges as far as I can tell, but exactly backwards so I bought something else. I wanted this one, but since the company did not respond to my question, I did not buy one. Maybe someone has one and can test it.

A: Yes. The listed input and impedances of: Input: 47 K ohm (high impedance) and Output: 32 ohms(low impedance) These are the correct specs and typical (though the output impedance is lower than most phono pre-amps.

Q: 3. How is the volume pot travel? Is it smooth or stepped ? Thanks!

A: Smooth as a baby's bottom

Q: 4. where is the SPDIF input? useless for me, since i monitor from the digital out of my DAW... the Presonus Central Station has all the analog in and outs plus a SPIDIF/Toslink input.

A: There are NO digital connections (SPDIF):Inputs: Balanced2 x combo XLR-1/4 Aux (unbalanced):1 x TRS 3.5 mm2 x mono RCA ----------------------------------------------------------Output Connectors: 5 x XLR: (4 x balanced; 1 x unbalanced)

Q: 5. Can I use it with the Bose L1 Compact?

A: The Bose L1 Compact Line Array PA Speaker and Mixer System includes its own subwoofer, but in theory you could also wire the Bose L1 PRO Series Sub1 Portable Bass Module into the system for additional bass when needed.

Q: 6. Hi, can I use the Bose L1 Pro Sub 1 Bass Module with my Bose S1 Pro System?

A: Yes, you could use the Powered Sub 1 bass module with your S1 Pro. You would want this speaker pole to attach the two together, BH #BOSP20MB . And then run your audio from the mixer, through the sub and out to the S1 Pro.

Q: 7. The outputs... are the XLR and Stereo Mini outs active simultaneously? Can I send to 2 sets of speakers

A: Palmer recommends not using both outputs at the same time.

Q: 8. On the Palmer PAN 02 PRO Active DI Box What would happen if you plug in a xlr balanced signal into the the input labeled xlr unbalanced?

A: You would not experience any problems if you connect a balanced signal via XLR to the unbalanced XLR input on the Palmer PAN 02 PRO Active DI Box. The input will be grounded once it is connected and there is a ground switch as well as a transformer-balanced output which helps mitigate any unwanted noise.

Q: 9. Can I used the Bose L1 Pro Sub 1 Bass Module with my Bose S1 Pro System?

A: Yes, the Bose L1 Pro Series Sub1 Bass Module can be paired with a Bose S1 Pro system to create a micro-PA.
