Previously open only to mobile devices, Livestream can broadcast professional productions straight to Facebook. Log in and go live.

Use Google's Chrome browser (available free for Windows, OS X, Chromebook, and Android devices) to control Livestream's studio software remotely.

By leveraging multiple connections including Ethernet, Wi-Fi, and 3G/4G LTE, you can spread your stream bandwidth for a more reliable connection. You can also set up alternate backup connections in case your primary connection fails or becomes too slow.

Monitor all your cameras in real time thanks to the built-in multiviewer. The multiviewer features on-screen full field rate multiview of all live inputs, Preview, Program Out, two GFX, two DDR, and Audio PPM overlay with peak hold feature on all inputs and outputs. The layout is realizable to allow for hiding of all controls to maximize multiview screens.

Cut, dissolve, or select from a collection of SMPTE wipes with feathering and positioning control. Fade time durations can be manually adjusted in frames via the on-screen T-bar or keyboard shortcuts.

The integrated multichannel audio mixer features mix automation, embedded audio, level monitoring, peak warnings, as well as channel grouping. The incorporated video switcher follow feature supports audio crossfade when fading between two video sources.

The three-channel graphics generator is built into the GUI and allows you to add text, transparent images, live picture-in-picture video, countdowns, and a range of graphic effects including drop shadows, borders, crops, and more. Create templates to quickly change sport scores, lower-third text, or other graphic elements on the fly.

Overlay graphics as layers on top of your program mix with transparency. This is ideal for adding corner bugs, sport cording, lower thirds, picture-in-picture, and other broadcast graphics.

Composite up to five live audio/video sources together within the graphics editor. Add a simple second camera angle, a scoreboard cam, or even a broadcast network four-person live chat over an animated background video.

Add recorded material to your program quickly and easily with the two media players built into Livestream Studio. You can import popular media formats such as H.264 video, MP3, and WAV audio), build playlists, loop clips, and autoplay on transition. You can also scrub through footage and trim clips down for broadcast. When working with clips that do not match your project settings, the built-in transcoder is available for file conversion. You can even get basic instant-replay functionality by loading an ISO recording into the media player.

Desktop: Broadcast a remote computer desktop video and audio as a Livestream Studio input via your local Wi-Fi or Ethernet network. Full motion and audio are supported.

Cloud: Downlink live feeds from your Livestream accounts and use it as a remote live source in your program mix.

Livestream Studio comes with a built-in H.264/AAC multi-bit rate live streaming encoder. You can stream HD video directly to Livestream, Ustream, YouTube Live, or any RTMP-compatible server or CDN (Wowza Media Server, Akami, Flash Media Server). Also supported is the ZiXi streaming protocol and 1080p streaming when using custom quality settings.

Livestream supports simultaneous output to desktop browsers, Roku-connected TVs, and iOS/Android devices through a combination of Flash, adaptive bit rate HLS, and RTSP streaming protocols.

Output your live program via SDI or HDMI to large-format in-venue screens, broadcast networks, or complement your workflow using external video hardware such as graphics generators, encoders, and recorders.

Use the tally light integration to let your talent and camera operators know which source is live and which source is coming next.

With an optional Livestream Platform Enterprise account, you can add your Google DFP ID to add mid-roll advertising to your live streams. Simply press the "Insert Advertisement" button.

Use the included Livestream keyboard to quickly access essential functions and features. The keyboard works with all Livestream Studio products. A Livestream mouse and mouse pad are also included.

Twelve months of free telephone support is included. Phone support is available seven days a week.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Can I upload previously recorded media to this box to play during a stream?

A: Yes, you can use this to stream pre-recorded media.

Q: 2. This product can only be use with livestream software?

A: This is meant for use with just Livestream products.

Q: 3. Are you require to use livestream service for this product to operate? Or can you broadcast to other services to deliver your video?

A: This works with RTMP compatible servers and services. You do not need to use the Livestream Service specifically.

Q: 4. Does this monitor have an "image flip" feature, so that I can use non prompter software and read the text correctly on Word and PowerPoint?

A: Yes, a built-in reversing function allows you to display scrolling text right-side up when used with most prompting software.

Q: 5. Is this keyboard wireless or wired? How far away can it be from the Livestream system?

A: It is wired, and the cable on it is about 2 1/2-3 feet. We had to use a USB extension cable on ours for our set up. Our HD550 with higher placed USB ports is on a raised desk platform, and the keyboard is on the desk. So the keyboard cable was just out of reach.

Q: 6. What is the maximum length of network cables you can use between the controller and tally lights?

A: No maximum length of network cables is explicitly defined on the Digital Arts metaSETZ TLC-8LS Tally Controller for Livestream Studio.

Q: 7. Can this unit broadcast both HDMI and SDI at the same time? Also, can two display monitors be used to monitor in addition to the program out(s)?

A: Both outputs are live and may be used simultaneously.

Q: 8. Does the switcher come with the Livestream Studio software pre-installed? Or do you need to purchase a separate Studio USB to activate it?

A: The software is pre-installed. The machine runs Windows and the icon for the program is easily visible once you boot it up. The only issue is with fan noise, which could be a bit much if your talent is right near the device.

Q: 9. We have an HD550. We would like Tally and comms for 5 cameras. What products do we require for full setup?

A: You will need the Digital Arts metaSETZ TLC-4LS Tally Controller for Livestream Studio B&H # DITLC4LS, (which has 6 tally outputs), 5 of the Digital Arts TL-2-C Tally Light for Tally Controllers B&H # DITL2C lights and if you want to use the intercom pass thru feature, 5 TL-IC cables. (1/8 stereo mini to 3-pin XLR).

Q: 10. Dos this tally lights controller work with Vmix?

A: Yes, according to Digital Arts the MetaSETZ TLC-4LS works with vMix as well.
