Choosing a smaller size over bulk and weight, the SLR Magic MicroPrime Cine 75mm Lens covers full-frame sensors and features a Sony E-mount. Suitable for 4K origination, each lens in the MicroPrime Cine series features similar size and weight with consistent lens gear positions for rapid lens changes and easier re-balancing when changing lenses on a gimbal.

The lens incorporates a 13-blade iris that provides a pleasing bokeh with natural-looking, out-of-focus highlights. The odd number of iris blades also reduces the appearance of flare off the blades. The lens has an internal focus design so the front of the lens doesn't rotate when focusing, and it has an 85mm outer diameter for compatibility with a wide number of clip-on matte boxes.

Each lens in the MicroPrime Cine series features similar balance characteristics, minimizing recalibration when switching lenses while your camera is on a gimbal.

Internal focus mechanism minimizes breathing and prevents the front of the lens from rotating while pulling focus

An 82mm front filter thread enables mounting filters directly to the lens without using a matte box

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Is this a fully manual lens or does ir communicate with the fujifilm X-T4?

A: Yes, the following lens is a all manual lens.

Q: 2. If I mount this on my BMCC4k It will have the focal length of 34mm?

A: With Micro Four Thirds sensors your view will double ( 2X crop) and a 17mm lens will view as a 34mm lens when used with the BM Pocket 4k camera.

Q: 3. Hi, Just want to know if its the same glass used in the SLR Magic Cine 75mm f/1.4 FE Lens for Sony E-Mount? Whats the difference between the two apart from the obvious?

A: The new MicroPrime Cine lenses from SLR Magic build upon the original Full Frame E-Mount lenses SLR Magic Offers. The difference is the MicroPrimes are uniform in size with things like their gear placement and front diameter, so a kit of lenses can easily be switched on to a rig. They also have a better throw distance for focus and a more robust overall design.

Q: 4. What is the focal length equivalent?

A: The Fujifilm X Mount system is for cameras with an APS-C sized and a 1.5x crop factor. This lens will have the equivalent of a 37.5mm field of view.

Q: 5. What is the minimum focus distance on this 25mm lens? and the 35mm?

A: The minimum focus distance on the 25mm lens will be around 10 inches. While it will be around a foot on the 35mm, B&H # SLRMMPC35.

Q: 6. I have some SLR Magic lenses and the breathing during focus is pretty significant. How is it on this specific one?

A: It's less pronounced, but still present.

Q: 7. what's the difference betwen the microprime cine lenses and the cine II lenses of SLR Magic? I mean, I know the size and weight thing, but I mean in terms of image quality (vignette and aberration at wide open). Thanks!

A: The SLR Magic MicroPrime lenses are built up around the optics of their Cine Lenses. Optically there may not be a difference, the difference in this case would be that a set of MicroPrimes will be uniform in design for being able to be quickly switched on a rig.

Q: 8. How's the Chromatic Aberration on these lenses? I plan on using them documentary style with no lighting. So I will be shooting in scenes with a high dynamic range.

A: This is designed to be an affordable option for a cinema lens. You should expect to see some chromatic aberration when using it.

Q: 9. What’s the minimum focus distance on the 17mm?

A: It has a minimum focus distance of 7″/18cm.

Q: 10. Does this come with a pouch?

A: A pouch is not included.

Very nice lens! It’s the perfect compliment to the BMPCC 4K. In the past I had used the Veydra 16mm on my Pocket 4K and really loved it. So, I figured that the similar focal length and faster aperture would be even better. I was right.

And of course, the build quality is the solid and heavy that you’d expect of a great cinema lens. The one potential downside of the lens is that it’s a bit soft wide open, but that’s not an issue for me. I’m glad I bought it.

I picked this up in a set of four SLR Magic MicroPrimes, and have not used it more than a week but so far I love its unique character. The image is beautiful and has a vintage feel, it's light-weight and easy to use on my A7SII hand-held, the focus ring is quick and works great even without follow-focus. Loving so far.

I picked this up in a set of four SLR Magic MicroPrimes, and have not used it more than a week but so far I love its unique character. It is light-weight and easy to use on my A7SII hand-held, the focus ring is quick and works great even without follow-focus. The only thing is that when I first got this, I picked up in-person and tried it out with a Sony A7SIII in the store - and found the E-mount to be very resistant, hard to attach the lens all the way to click in. I returned it for a new one which attaches smoother but still there is more resistance than other SLR Magic MicroPrime lenses I got... I don't think this will affect the lens performance but just mentioning it.

Really fantastic quality. Definitely one of the best Micro 4/3 lenses I've had, got some really great images with it so far. Worth the wait (I pre-ordered). When I put it on the room effectively doubled in depth in picture; nice beautiful wide. I'd say it's definitely worth the money.

This lens pairs perfectly with our other SLR Magic 35mm T 1.5 for a BMPCC4K. The two lenses work perfectly for our needs. I like the quality and look the 17mm produces for short film/run and gun. It's compact so it is easy to balance on a gimbal. The only question is which lens to get next... The SLR Magic 12mm or 50mm lens?

I am in love with the 1.5 t stop, the wonder skin tones, the long lens feel of the 75mm wonder. This lens leaves the blue hue of Rokino in the dust. The images are sharper and the consistency of images in the 75mm, 50mm and 35mm have been outstanding. I do have 1 complaint about the lens it needs a variable ND filter on it for most of the ext. Shots. The lens is much brighter than my zeiss, Rokinon, and Sony lenses. The low light shooting is truly stunning. Whatever quality issue others have complained about seem to be resolved. This is a Cine lens that Photographers will love and every rental house should offer. Get yours today.

The DOF is beautiful on this lens when you can leave the aperture wide open. I've done some test footage but can't wait to apply this bad boy to my next projects!
