The Velbon M45 4-Section Aluminum Tripod with 3-Way Head supports up to 4.4 lb and features a maximum height of 61" with the center column raised and 49.2" with the column lowered. The tripod is lightweight at only 2 lb yet provides the height of most full-size tripods. Its compact design makes it ideal for travel and many other applications.

The tripod features quick-locking leg levers that allow you to adjust its height on the fly, and it offers a quick release camera mounting platform so you can easily remove your camera for handheld use. The mounting platform can be attached facing forward or sideways.

A: The Slik Pro AL-323-3W Aluminum 3-Section Tripod with Arca-Type 3-Way Pan-Tilt Head comes with the SH-747 head, not the friction control version.

Q: 7. How smooth is the head? Would like to use for wildlife video and need decent smoothness. Nothing professional, but would like it to be decent.

A: It is not too bad. Keeping the tension bolt tight can cause some rough movements. Too loose it will fall. It can be done with right adjustment

Q: 8. Would this support a Nikon D750 with 24-120mm lens?

A: I'm not an expert, but I'm guessing it would. It's very sturdy, and I use mine with a similar sized camera, out in the woods, at all kinds of odd angles. So far the camera has not shifted position once.

Q: 9. Can you replace the quick release plate, or use the one included, and mount a camcorder to this tripod?

A: my Sony camcorder has the same female thread as my cameras so I mount either or to the quick release. Also I modified a monopod to fit to the thread so I can shoot over people in front of me.

Q: 10. Will this fit a variety of (inexpensive) tripods? I have a Tragus TG-P60T.

A: The Velbon Aluminum End Hook (Chrome) is designed as a replacement hook for Velbon tripods. It is not listed as compatible for use with third-party tripods such as the Tragus TG-P60T Tripod.

Nice compact and sturdy tabletop tripod. Legs have an extra extension feature that gives the tripod a very wide stance to make it even more stable when needed. Lightweight and very well made. 3-way pan head works smoothly. Lots of adjustments. It even comes with a nice nylon carry bag that accepts not only the tripod but my RetiCAM phone mount. Couldn't be happier with this purchase! 5

This comes in handy when I need a tripod that is light and easy to carry like on a trip. It also is great when you need one on the table. It's not too big or too small. Great for recording food prep shots. 5

Yes, I think that this is one of the best compact tri-pod at this price range. Only the issue is: the panning is a bit tight than center pole knob,but as long as you use it instead of panning knob, it's very smooth. A nice one! 5

Very solid tripod! Exactly what I was expecting. I am a quadriplegic limited sto a power chair and this fits perfectly in my lap. I have no use in my hands but am able to get a smooth panning video most of the time. So someone with the use of their hands would have no problem getting a smooth pan, just may need a couple pratice pans and some messing with some nobs(; but definitely worth the price. 5

I give college lectures online. This tripod works great with my Logitech webcam. Very stable and adjustable in a large number of dimensions. I have no other tripod to compare it to and I don't use it with any other camera, but it works perfectly in my situation. I like the range of heights and all the adjustments that are available. I definitely would buy it again. 5

I've been looking for something between a full-sized tripod and a table top for a while now and this one is perfect. It's made with plastic and metal so that it's very light weight and is less than half the size of my regular tripod but sturdy enough to easily handle my camera with the largest/heaviest lens I have. I like the bracing in between the legs and the fully functional ball head which will allow me to do something like astrophotography or long exposures which I couldn't do reliably with the table top due to the limited functionality of its ballhead. I chose the 3-way pan over the 2-way. For the tiny difference in weight/cost, it's well worth it to have it do everything my regular tripod ballhead can do. (I tried to post photos but it wouldn't submit) 5
