The Velbon M47 4-Section Aluminum Tripod with 2-Way Fluid Head supports up to 4.4 lb and features a maximum height of 61" with the center column raised and 49.2" with the column lowered. The tripod is lightweight at only 2.1 lb yet provides the height of most full-size tripods. Its compact design makes it ideal for travel and many other applications. An integrated fluid head with a pan bar allows you to make smooth pan and tilt adjustments.

The tripod features quick-locking leg levers that allow you to adjust its height on the fly, and it offers a quick release camera mounting platform so you can easily remove your camera for handheld use. The mounting platform can be attached facing forward or sideways.

A: As long as you have the 1/4 20 mount for the GoPro it can be attached.

Q: 2. when it is in the lowest position at 8 what is messurement of the area the legs cover?

A: I'm afraid Velbon does not list the exact specs for how much area the legs will cover when this tripod is only 8 inches from the ground. However we can tell you that it will take up a very small amount of room when configured like that.

Q: 3. Would this tripod hold a Canon T5i with a Tamron 60mm macro lens, aiming straight down, without toppling over?

A: The Valbon EX-Mini has a load capacity of 3.3 pounds, which will support a Canon T5i and Tamron 60mm macro lens.

Q: 4. Does this tripod have rubber feet? I'm trying to find something that would not slide on a smooth surface.

A: Yes. The feet on the EX-Mini (at the time that I bought mine) are rubberized. There may be surfaces on which they would still slide, but I tried it on wood, plastic and glass without slipping.Hope this helps.

Q: 9. Can you replace the quick release plate, or use the one included, and mount a camcorder to this tripod?

A: my Sony camcorder has the same female thread as my cameras so I mount either or to the quick release. Also I modified a monopod to fit to the thread so I can shoot over people in front of me.

Q: 10. I use my tripod mostly for video. I'm looking to buy another because mine (a cheap one bought at that store that start with a 'W'... and ends in a 'T') pans so poorly. Does this one pan smoothly? Up and down. Side to side. And it looks like it has a crank handle that makes the head move up or down as the handle is crank. Is this correct? Thank you!

A: This tripod does a decent job panning and tilting, especially if you are on a tight budget. It works the best with small to medium sized camcorders (i.e. a Canon XA20). I've used these tripods for filming interview videos and conferences. It definitely does a better job than any cheaper tripods without fluid heads!

Haven't had the chance to set this tripod up and use it yet but the build quality is satisfactory for the price and should suffice for the intended use (table set-up for Vlogging). Light weight and very functional and versatile features. 5

Nice compact and sturdy tabletop tripod. Legs have an extra extension feature that gives the tripod a very wide stance to make it even more stable when needed. Lightweight and very well made. 3-way pan head works smoothly. Lots of adjustments. It even comes with a nice nylon carry bag that accepts not only the tripod but my RetiCAM phone mount. Couldn't be happier with this purchase! 5

This item is great, very sturdy and you can adjust the legs so well either closer together or farther apart. I have it right now sitting behind my laptop and able to mount my Camcorder or my DSLR with no issues. Ballanced, stable. Well worth it. I've purchased some tripods for lighting recently. I'll admit I sebtled for the cheaper end of that spectrum but the quality of this Tripod I'll be getting more. Thanks. Bart 5

Yes, I think that this is one of the best compact tri-pod at this price range. Only the issue is: the panning is a bit tight than center pole knob,but as long as you use it instead of panning knob, it's very smooth. A nice one! 5

I've been looking for something between a full-sized tripod and a table top for a while now and this one is perfect. It's made with plastic and metal so that it's very light weight and is less than half the size of my regular tripod but sturdy enough to easily handle my camera with the largest/heaviest lens I have. I like the bracing in between the legs and the fully functional ball head which will allow me to do something like astrophotography or long exposures which I couldn't do reliably with the table top due to the limited functionality of its ballhead. I chose the 3-way pan over the 2-way. For the tiny difference in weight/cost, it's well worth it to have it do everything my regular tripod ballhead can do. (I tried to post photos but it wouldn't submit) 5
