A: I use a piece of 3/4 inch EMT. Readily available at Lowes or HomeDepot.

A: #10-32 either 1/2" long or 5/8" depending on depth in the super clamp. Home Depot has them. Get #10 washers with them.

A: The distance between each hook depends on the width of your wall and the width of your background.

Q: 5. Do I need to get 4 pcs. Impact Superclamp to attach these to the Impact Varipole? Or will 2 superclamps be sufficient?

A: You might be able to do 2 clamps. But for the cost and security Id do two. I did.

Q: 6. If I have a triple hook system can I just use those plates and just buy the superclamps?

A: No, A C-Stand is the right stand for your setup.

Q: 8. Does anyone know what is the diameter of the slots? In other words if I want to put a crossbar instead, what should be it diameter to fit on the slots

A: 11/16" or 17.5mm

Q: 9. Will these work on a Savage Backdrop/background support stand?

A: They should work but be careful. You can easily over tighten these and crush hollow tube stands. These work best with heavier material like you get on steel stands.

Q: 10. Are the roller handles necessary for these hooks or can I use and already existing backdrop bar?

A: You would need one of the expandable drives such as the Impact Varidrive, the Manfrotto Expan Drive, or the Kupo Background Paper Drive Set to support a background on the Impact Background Triple Hooks listed above. While the drive is designed to insert into the cardboard core of a seamless roll of paper, it may also be inserted into a hollow crossbar. If the crossbar you own is hollow and the expandable drive may be inserted inside the crossbar you own, then the aforementioned expandable drives should work for your usage needs.
