Q: 1. Does this work with the NexStar Evolution Series, Model 12090 6 I use a MacBook Pro. Does it work with Mac operating system? (Sierra)

A: To the best of my knowledge it will work with the telescope but I don't think the software is Mac compatible.

Q: 2. How effective is this in a office/cubicle environment? The cube neighbor on the other side of the wall from me is a hummer? When he starts humming, it is disturbing, particularly when I am "in the zone" developing software.

A: This should do a solid job of masking humming and general low level conversation within a 10' radius. Please note, this type of system is generally meant to be wall or ceiling mounted.

Q: 3. Is this camera compatible with any/most Celestron telescopes. I have a Skywatcher 105 mm, is this a good investment for me?

A: Without knowing your experience its hard to give you a simple answer. Your scope is too small for great planetary images, you need more aperture (8 +) and a longer prime focal length (2000mm +). This camera will function as if you were using a 8mm eyepiece, the detail that you can see can be captured ith this camera.Jupiter and some bands, Saturn and its rings. Mars will be too small. This camera will work very well on the moon. It's not a simple camera like a dslr, it takes videos of your subject (1000-2000), you have do the image processing in Registax software. If your familiar with this software this camera might be for you. Registax is a very powerful software for weeding out bad video frames, stacking them then enhancing the image. After this is done, you still have to bring the final image into Photoshop and continue to process it. If you have these skills, its a wonderful camera. If you can't be bothered to invest the time and effort to learn and experience it will not be a good investment. This product is no good for stars, clusters, nebula, or galaxies. It also requires that your scope is properly polar aligned and your tracking fairly accurate.

Q: 4. WOULD THE Celestron NexImage 5 Solar System Imager (5MP)WORK WITH A 10 SKYWATCHER DOBS GOTO?

A: It should work fine with any goto telescope. I have a Celestron 6se and got awesome results on my first night after watching a few YouTube videos

Q: 5. can camera be used as a guide scope?

A: Hi, It is my first camera and i dont have many experience. But in the manual says that it can be use as an autoquiding camera in conjuntion with an off axis guider or a piggyback guidescope. but i never use it.

Q: 6. ? can you use a barlow with this camera and the nexstar 4se

A: I don't really know still trying to figure mine out sorry I will give it a try tonight and see

Q: 7. does this fit on a LCM114 Telescope?

A: The Celestron NexImage 5 Solar System Imager (5MP) BH #CENM5SSI • MFR #93711 will work with the Celestron 114LCM 114mm f/9 Computerized GoTo Reflector Telescope BH #CE114LCM • MFR #31150 or any other make and model telescope with a 1.25" eyepiece.

Q: 8. Will the software work for Windows 10?

A: Yes, the software for the Celestron NexImage 5 Solar System Imager (5MP) is compatible with Windows 10.

Q: 9. I have a very nice pair of 125mm-objective binoculars, and I've always wanted to try to use a camera with them to photograph terrestrial objects (birds across the bay, cargo ships in the harbor, etc.). The binos use pairs of standard TeleVue 1.25 eyepieces. Would this astro camera be an easy and inexpensive way to do this? Thank you for any help you can offer. - Mark H.

A: This NexImage 5 will fit into any 1.25 format eyepiece holder. So if your binoculars are using 1.25 eyepieces currently - this would connect to them (obviously through only one of the oculars)

Q: 10. Pardon me for not being so advanced. can this be used in a 10" Dob no tracking? Once attached to a laptop, I'm assuming you can focus while watching real time on your laptop screen? How quick is the exposure time given the object will be moving in a Dob with no tracking. Thanks!

A: Think of the NexImage 5 Solar System Imager as an electronic eyepiece. The software also delivers the ability to manually change the gain, contrast, exposure time, frame rate and color saturation of the camera through the computer.
