Q: 1. Anyone used this cable to trigger a Hasselblad X1D ii remotely?

A: The Profoto Male 1/4" Phono to Male 3.5mm Miniphone Cable - 11.8" can be used to trigger a Hasselblad X1D ii remotely

Q: 2. Is this compatible with Canon 5 D Mark III? And anyone knows if it would work with Elinchrom 4Lite it?

A: Yes this cable will fit the flash sync terminal on the side of the Canon 5D Mark III to trigger an Elinchrom DLite 4 IT monolight.

Q: 3. Will this cord connect a Sekonic 478DR light meter to an Alienbee B800 light or a Canon 580 ExII flash to meter them?

A: This cord on it's own won't be suitable for either application. I think the Alienbee comes with a 1/4 jack so you'll need a 3.5 mm adapter to use this cord - I don't know if PCB supply the strobe with the adapter. There's no 3.5 mm socket on the 580EX (it's mini PC only) so you'll need a hotshot adapter or just get the PC to PC cord. I'm sure there's a reason you want to use a cord but have you thought about using the meter in cordless mode and just trigger the flash(es) with whatever device you are intending to fire them. Also, it's a more expensive solution but since you have the DR version of the 478 meter have you thought about investing in some Pocketwizards? No cords, no adapters, very convenient and very reliable. I use the Plus IIIs but the Plus X twin pack looks like great value and will work with any other Pocketwizard.

Q: 4. Will this cable connect my old SekonicL508 to my GodoxX2T to test different flashes and different apertures?

A: Yes, the Impact Sync Cord Male Mini (3.5mm) to Male PC (16') will connect your Sekonic L508 to the Godox X2T series of triggers.

Q: 5. this can be used with a rolleiflex or a linhof with profoto b10?

A: Yes.

Q: 6. Will this cable connect my Sony A1 to my Godox 1200pro?

A: You can use the Impact Sync Cord Male Mini (3.5mm) to Male PC (16') BH #IMMMPCM16 to connect a Sony A1 and a Godox Ad1200Pro.

Q: 7. For the male mini connector, is it 2.5mm?

A: The Impact Sync Cord Male Mini to Male Household (18") does not have 2.5mm connector but instead has a 3.5mm connector.

Q: 8. Can I use this wire with a Westcott 240 lighting kit?

A: Yes the Westcott Strobelite 2 Light Educational Kit B&H # WESL2LUEK MFR # 240 can work with this sync cord.

Q: 9. Why would the six foot cost more than the one foot?

A: There are a variety of factors that go into pricing. Often times if something sells more frequently we can get a better deal from the manufacturer.

Q: 10. Would this cord connect my canon 7d to my 580ex11 with full metering capabilities. I have a waterhousing for my 7d and a separate one for my flash and the off camera shoe cord does not fit inside my cameras body housing as there is not enough room on the top. So basically I need a cord that will connect the two that is small (possibly connects to side of camera body) and still retains all the metering controls ect. Does such a cord exist?

A: Unfortunately, no, there is not a cable that exists for your stated needs. PC cables do not offer any metering capabilities; they are strictly designed to syncronize the flash with your shutter. When using a PC cable (on any brand camera), you have to set the flash output power manually. If you need a cable that will transfer metering information, you would need a hot shoe TTL off-shoe cable for your needs, such as the Canon OC-E3 Off-Shoe Cable or the Vello TTL-Off-Camera Flash Cord for Canon EOS which we have listed on our website. However, you state you already own a TTL cable, but it does not fit in your housing for your needs. As you are using underwater gear, the manfuacturer may manufacture an option for your needs, but as you have not listed the housing that you own, I would recommend contacting our Underwater Department at uw@bhphotovideo.com and give them the brand/model of your housings to inquire if there is an option that would work for your desired needs.
