Although highly compact at 26" in length, which allows for a small footprint and makes it suitable as a travel cart, the black 8-in-1 Equipment Transporter R2RG Micro Glider from RocknRoller Multi-Cart supports up to 350 pounds and expands into eight different configurations. It vastly decreases time and effort when moving huge amounts of equipment. It telescopes from 26-39" to fit equipment of different sizes and shapes. Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Is it possible to add a shelf accessory to the R14 cart?

A: Unfortunately we do not have a shelf option for the R14 at this time.

Q: 2. How well do the wheel on this cart do on rough surfaces such as gravel and grass?

A: The cart and the wheels are very well made and sturdy. They work very well on on most surfaces. I have had no issues on gravel, grass and landscape rocks.

Q: 3. Can anyone recommend the best securing straps and methods for tying down equipment for this cart?

A: I use 2 ratchet straps when I load this thing to the gills with lighting and grip equipment. It's mostly to keep the cases/bags from falling off the cart. The cart itself is rock solid and can take whatever straps you throw on it.

Q: 4. Where is the shelf for this cart?

A: Unfortunately, MultiCart RocknRoller does not have a shelf designed for use with the MultiCart RocknRoller R18RT Ground Glider, B&H # MUR18RT. The largest cart from MultiCart RocknRoller that is compatible with a shelf would be the MultiCart RocknRoller R12RT 8-in-1 All-Terrain Equipment Cart, B&H # MUR12RT, or the MultiCart RocknRoller R12STEALTH 8-in-1 All-Terrain Equipment Cart, B&H # MUR12STEALTH.

Q: 5. Has anyone found a duffel bag or case of some type that can hold the R2 Micro?

A: I've never looked for one, but I imagine a gym bag might work well.

Q: 6. air the tires air filled or solid?

A: These are solid No-flat tires.

Q: 7. Do they make a top shelve for the R16RT Ground Glider?

A: Sorry not for the R16RT. Just for the smaller models.

Q: 8. CAN THIS R2 GO UP & CAN DOWN STEPS WITH A 100LB LOAD?

A: The cart is rated to hold 350lbs. The strength of the operators would need to be taken into consideration going up stairs with a 100lb load.

Q: 9. Has anyone tried checking this cart for travel? Is there a better choice for air travel?

A: This cart to my understanding is too large to carry onto a plane. You might consider instead something like the Remin Concorde III Cart BH #REC3 • MFR #C3. And be sure to double check your airline's carry on luggage dimensions guidelines.

Q: 10. How tall is it from the bottom of the swivel casters to the top of the handle?

A: It is 42" from the ground to the top of the handle.

Great little cart and a superb value. Gets my entire interview kit (easily 100 lbs) in with one trip, yet packs small. 2 Pelican 1600 series cases, a very large lighting case, a large dairy crate with 2 turtle bases, tripod bag and a huge stand bag. I suggest motorcycle-style cinch straps vs. bungees for loads this big though. Bungees aren't all that safe (they seem to aim right for the eyes when they're stretched tight and released), the cinch straps really lock the load down, they pack small and are really strong, and they can be whatever length you need via the cinching clamp.

The card works great. The only issue I have is wish the handle was higher when opened into a Uboat. Still very happy with it.

This little critter is one of those things that you can't imagine being without once you've had one around for a while. I use it almost daily for transporting musical equipment at gigs, photo equipment both at shoots and in the studio, and I will confess to using it for light household moving chores, although this will probably exceed its published load limits.
The adjustable length feature, various configurations, and numerous tie-down points insure a stable load fit, and when you're done the whole thing folds up into a lightweight compact piece that stores/transports really easily.
Wheels are solid (no inflation concerns) and the smart end has good quality locking casters.

It is narrow enough to fit through any door, but this does mean that you need to think about the width when you load in terms of stability.

What was my life before this cart? I was simply a live pack mule roaming in and out of revolving doors throughout Midtown, bound with bag straps, bulging like a braschiole sausage- merely a quickly closing elevator door away from crumbling into a videographic disaster. The liters of sweat this cart has preserved in just 2 weeks is enough to boil up a Lobster dinner for two that I will be having this evening with my dashingly cool, practically brilliant, cool blue Multi-Cart.

I will say like others said once I got it it was surprisingly small. But...I did want it small. Its so small I can collapse it and it barely takes up room in my trunk.

I pack my car full of gear so a cart I would get needed to be small. This allows me to still use my car as my vehicle and fit lots of my gear on it.

Its strong for the size of the thing and I feel it will last a while.

In final Im glad I got this instead of the larger slightly more expensive option for my specific situation.

This thing changed my life, I used to lug around my gear like a pack mule...showing up to gigs sweating. This guy is compact, strong and sturdy. Pair this with a few multi-cart bungee straps and your set. This model is very small- but holds quite a decent amount. After a use or two, you can fold and unfold this baby pretty quick.

This cart has been fantastic (so far!). I originally purchased a trolley the next level up with the 2 wider wheels...there were so many problems with it including the axel too short and holes not fully drilled. I returned it and went with this entry level one instead.

This trolley is lightweight and compact, while also being able to transport a size-able amount of gear. I've been transporting a large Manfrotto lighting case, two Pelican 1615 Airs, tripod bag, softboxes. In addition (not pictured here), I hang shot bags from the holes in the handle and a few reflectors/other bags on top of the cases.

Getting in and out of UberXLs is important for my workflow in NYC, and this trolley quickly folds up and doesn't take up much space in the back of the XL, or in our office.

The only accessory I purchased for this was the bag that slots over the handle and holds tripods and softboxes - keeps setup/breakdown super speedy and adds capacity in a position that is balanced.

One of my friends turned me on the to this line of multicarts and I'm so glad he did. He's a sports videographer and travels all over the country with his carrying all of his camera gear. He even bought to attachment carry bag for his light stands. I bought the slightly smaller version and it's really great. The wheels are smooth, it's easy to set up and break down quickly, and it carries A LOT! I'm 6' 1" and I do wish the pull/push handles were a bit taller, but it's not a deal breaker for me. Mighty cart!
