        A: the length isn't the issue. I have a tripod foot attached on my 70-200 and I could barely squeeze it into the holster.. I could not fully zip up the holster - I had to have the camera strap hanging out

        A: I don't know. I use it with a Canon 5D MKIII and Canon 70-200mm f2.8 or Sigma 50-500mm f4 (each with the hood reversed and the holster unextended ) it works fine.
