Help keep your film protected and organized with this black Film Hard Case from Japan Camera Hunter, which holds 10 rolls of 35mm roll film. This hard plastic case is reminiscent of an egg carton and segregates rolls into individual slots for organization. It is ideally suited for protecting, organizing, and separating exposed and unexposed film while out shooting, as well as a neat means for holding film inside your refrigerator. Additionally, the exterior of the case is intentionally blank, offering free reign for customizing its appearance or for noting the type of film inside.

A: Hi--the shutter speed of this camera is 1/120 second.

Q: 4. I know it's not waterproof but how does it do in the rain?

A: You can snap 2 or 3 shots on light rain. I will not recommend using this camera constantly under heavy rain. If water reaches the electrical system of the camera it could permanently harm the camera. The manufacture pack this camera in a fitted disposable plastic bag. I will recommend maintaining the camera inside the bag and cutting the portion in front of the lens, the flash, and the viewfinder. It will serve as a disposable rain cover.

A: Yes, it will keep extraneous light out.

Q: 6. Where can I get this devoted at??

A: You can use a mailer such as the Ilford Prepaid 35mm and 120 Film Developing Mailer, BH # ILPFDM. https://bhpho.to/341mSHh

A: Kodak 35mm film can be used in this camera.

Q: 8. How does this camera compensate for different light? The shutter speed sounds like it's fixed. Is the aperture fixed as well?

A: The built in aperture is automatic and adjusts to varying lighting conditions.

Q: 9. Can I use 800 speed film with this camera, or only 400 speed?

A: You may use ISO 800 film in this camera if desired.

Q: 10. Is it safe to store film in the freezer with his case? Or should I just the individual canisters they come in by default? I'm worried about condensation getting inside.

A: I would not recommend storing film in the freezer, this case will work fine in the fridge.

I already owned a 10 roll hard case but found it too big to carry everywhere. This is just small enough to slip into my bag without taking up too much space and still holds plenty of film.

Works great, holds film with minimal extra space, so it’s slim enough to fit into a coat or pants pocket, and fits nicely in the end pocket of my camera bag. Lid stays on nice and tight. Just enough room around the film rolls to insert a box top to remind you what’s in there.

These things are very handy to put five rolls of film in my vest or jacket pocket when I am walking around making photos. I always use the black ones because I am not sure how light proof the other colors are. The lid does not latch in place so I keep a bright orange rubber band on it (and a couple of extra rubber bands in my bag).

The Kalt reusable cassettes are great. I love them. But they are considerably more fragile than factory-made film cassettes. I bought the JCH Hard Case specifically for keeping my bulk loaded film safe and protect the longevity of my reusable cassettes. This Hard Case is terrific regardless of what film you put in there because its just an all around great organizer, but its specifically useful for the more fragile reusable cassettes.

I process my own B&W film and to make things easier I rewind the exposed film only far enough so that a bit of the leader is still exposed.  The downside of that is the question, Is this an exposed or unexposed roll?  So when I take exposed rolls from the camera I put them in this case knowing that all the rolls in it are exposed.  There are other ways, but this one works well for me.

Got a black one for myself and this sweet red one for a friend. Makes a gift of film even more special.
