Designed for shooting overhead shots of small objects that cannot easily stand up on their own for frontal shots, the Horizontal Camera Mount from ALZO consists of an aluminum bar that is 33" long and 5/8" in diameter. On this bar is a universal camera screw mount and a tripod clamp, the latter of which attaches to 1/4"-20 camera screws and allows for the extension length of the rod to be adjusted using an integrated thumb screw. Included is a rotating smart phone mount, which can be rotated by clicks of 22.5° to allow for shooting at different angles without having to move the product. Also included is a Bluetooth wireless shutter release that pairs with most iOS and Android devices made since 2010 that are up to 3" wide. Built using aluminum the rod also features a grooved end for hanging a counterweight or other accessories.

Q: 1. Is the arm a 5/8 rod? How long is it? Can it be removed and re-attached from the base plate?

A: I will have to measure it. They are used to hold professional Sony video cameras in our church. The rod can be removed and re-attached. They are approximately 8 inches without me measuring. Excellent product very heavy duty which we needed for video camera and pan/tilt device under it.

Q: 2. If there was music playing, like at a concert, would the camera shake? Or does that depend on the weight of the camera?

A: That will depends on the quality of wall the ALZO Wall Camera Mount with Ball Head is attached to. If your walls are vibrating, the camera mount will pick up the vibration and will then appear on your cameras recording.

Q: 3. The first line of the instructions says Select either iOS or Android on the handle Where is the switch to make this selection? It doesn't show up to be paired in Bluetooth on my phone.

A: Use the shutter button on the handle.

Q: 4. Does it work w/ the iPhone 6 and/or iPhone 6+?

A: Yes it does. It works great with iPhone 6. I don't have iPhone 6+ so I can't tell you about it, but it looks like it won't be a problem.

Q: 6. I'd like a mount of this type but I want to be able to shorten the distance of the camera from the wall. Is this possible on this item?

A: Unfortunately, the 8" arm of the ALZO 1236 is not adjustable, but you will have access to alternate the ball head position.

Q: 7. Is the ball mount removable? Looking for something like this, but would want to replace the stock ball mount with one that uses a quick release plate.

A: The included ball head is removable.

Q: 9. Can you easily switch from horizontal to vertical?

A: Yes you can. The camera is mounted on a Ball head so all you need to do is loosen the knob, arrange the camera how you like (horizontally, vertically, or anything in between), and then tighten the knob to lock it in place.
