Q: 1. Are these light really bright? My current fresnel leds are a bit soft. I would be using them with a softbox.

A: The output of the light really depends on which reflectors you are using with the source. The 22 degree reflector and the 10 degree super spot will give you the most output. If you want more light you can pair the 22 degree reflector with a softbox. If you remove the reflectors you will get a 180 degree spread which makes for a very even source but it will lose a lot of the output into the diffusion.
