The small, beige Core 4066 Omnidirectional Headset Microphone with TA4F Connector from DPA Microphones is designed for theater and broadcast applications. The previous Legacy 4066 omnidirectional headset mic is known for working across a wide dynamic range as well as exhibiting low distortion across all SPLs. However, the Core 4066 microphone delivers a 14 dB increase in both THD (total harmonic distortion) and dynamic range, which improves clarity and openness more than the Legacy model.

The Core 4066 features a double vent protection system that works in tandem with a drop stopper and water-resistant materials in the mic, which help prevent damage from humidity. High- and soft-boost grids, along with five foam windscreens, are included.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Can this measure how quiet a room with some accuracy or is it strictly loudness meter?

A: According to MicW, the i437L can measure sound levels as low as 30 dBA, which may be adequate for you. If you want to measure ambient levels in special rooms, such as recording studios or other spaces where sound isolation is critical, then you may need a measurement mic with a larger diaphragm (e.g. 1/2 ) to get an accurate reading of the acoustic noise floor.

Q: 2. I'm looking for a wireless/blue tooth headset microphone and personal amplifier/speaker. Any suggestions?

A: This is not a bluetooth headset. this is a wired headset to use with a bodypack transmitter.

Q: 3. Will this work with Shure ULX1 or QLX1?

A: Yes, the Shure SM35 Performance Headset Condenser Microphone (TA4F) will work with both the Shure ULX and QLX systems.

Q: 4. Does this work with DPA microphones?

A: Yes, the Deity Microphones DA4 can be used with DPA microphones. The DA4 is an adapter that can be used with any Microdot-equipped microphone and it converts the Microdot connector to a TA4F plug for connection to a wireless microphone transmitter with a TA4 input jack.

Q: 5. Can you get replacement cables?

A: Replacement cables for the Galaxy Audio HSM4 Dual-Ear Headset Microphone and 4 Cables with 3.5mm Connectors can currently be found at the manufacturer's website: https://bit.ly/3K0tqZh

Q: 6. Will this work with the Sennheiser EW 112P G4's? (I find that the bulbous windscreen on the G4s has defied my ability to conceal it.)

A: The Remote Audio URSA Small Soft Strip Tape for Lavalier Microphones is designed to help conceal lavalier microphone heads that typically do not have a windscreen attached. If using the Sennheiser ME2-II with fixed windscreen, the URSA Small Soft Strip Tape will not work well to conceal its head.

Q: 7. Is there any solution to get it connected to a computer via USB or 3.5 mm jack?

A: To connect the Shure SM35 Performance Headset Condenser Microphone (TA4F) to a computer, you would need an audio interface such as B&H # FOSSOLO4G. Consumer audio interfaces do not have TA4 inputs, so you would also need the Shure RK100PK Preamplifier (B&H #SHRK100PK) to convert the microphone's output to XLR.

Q: 8. Will this work with Godox Movelink?

A: It would not be recommended to use a microphone with a locking connector, such as the Galaxy Audio HSM4 Dual-Ear Headset Microphone, with the Godox MoveLink.

Q: 9. will this work with a PGX1 system?

A: Yes, The PGX1 has a TA4 microphone input. The SM35 with the TA4F will work properly.

Q: 10. Will this work with a Suhre BLX4 receiver H9 frequency/band?

A: Yes
