Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Is this plate compatible with the Manfrotto 504PLONG? I have a Manfrotto MVH502AH video head and would like to be sure I can use it on that head. Thank you

A: Yes and no. the RS2 (and by extension this Really Right stuff substitute) is compatible with with Manfrotto tripod heads but it is more difficult to use than normal Manfrotto plates. It mounts from front to back instead of back to front. The fact that it mounts in the opposite direction makes it awkward to get the quick release plate on and off your tripod. the safety mechanism can get caught leaving your camera stuck on the tripod and requiring force to remove it. Yes the plate will mount on your tripod but it will be more difficult to get it on and off your tripod than a normal manfrotto quick release plate.

Q: 2. If I get it with 'mic & remote cable for apple' does it also come with the clear cable for the headphones? Not sure why they don't release a mic control cable in the clear version.

A: SE425-CL comes with fixed clear cable only. The SE425 kits with control cable comes with an additional black control cable (standard one-button is the CBL-M-K, and the 3-button Apple one is the CBL-M+-K-EFS). Both of these Control/Mic cables are available in Black only.

Q: 3. Will this connect to my individual mic or does it just connect to the system via Wi-Fi?

A: The Shure SE215-CL-Left Side Earphone Kit with IFB Cable is designed to make a hardwired connection to a 3.5mm (1/8") audio output source in the same manner as most other sets of hardwired headphones would connect to a headphone output connection on a device. This unit is not designed to connect to a microphone or connect wirelessly.

Q: 4. We can use on phone to listening music?

A: Yes, works fine on an iPhone.

Q: 5. I know it's early, but does anyone think this will work with the RS3?

A: We can only confirm that the Really Right Stuff DJI Ronin S2 CL Rail is compatible with the DJI RS 2, RSC 2, Ronin S.

Q: 6. Is the accessory cable with integrated mic and in line 3-button remote compatible with iPhone 6 ?

A: The Shure CBL-M+-K-EFS In-Ear Headphone Accessory Cable is compatible with current iOS devices

Q: 7. The noise cancellation mechanism here is purely passive, right? (Active cancellation still takes a battery?)

A: These in-ears do not utilize sound-cancellation (active noise control), which is the powered production of a secondary sound intended to reduce or cancel-out unwanted external sound. Instead, Shure's entire SE line of in-ear monitors use isolation to acoustically block out unwanted external sound. The replaceable eartips work like earplugs to create an acoustic seal around the nozzle (where the audio is ported out into the ear). Each earphone set includes a fit kit containing various sizes and types of eartips for you to try. Once you have selected the pair that fits you best, having a proper fit will in turn provide you with the best possible audio experience, as well as the lowest level of external noise.

Q: 8. Does this work with the SE846's?

A: Yes, it does perfectly, also is a good color replacement for the default one.

Q: 9. Will this work on Iphone 6plus? Thanks

A: Yes, this would work with the iPhone 6 plus.

Q: 10. Is the earphone removable like the standard SE215 earphones?

A: Yes, all the SE In-ear series besides the SE112's have the MMCX connection detachable earphones. The item you have asked this question on is mostly purchased to swap out a broken in-ear.

This is my third pair of Shure IEM's. My SE 315's developed a balance problem after many years. The output of the left earpiece was just slightly lower than the right. I decided to replace them with the SE425's. As a long-time owner of Shure IEM's I already had the microphone cord and a recently acquired BT2 adapter. I also have a FiiO balanced cord which I use with DAPs that have balanced outputs. I own several other professional headphones and IEM's.

I have always liked the sound of Shure IEM's. They have a clarity which I enjoy. Bass response has been criticized by some. It is solid without being overwhelming. However, it is important to note that the selection and fit of the various ear tips will greatly affect bass response. The wrong tip will reduce bass response and sound isolation. I have experimented with various tips and always returned to the old yellow universal fit ones. Your results may vary.

I travel frequently and love the isolation of the Shures. With the properly fitted tips they will out perform any of the active noise cancelling headphones I own. No battery to charge either. Shure claims approximately 37db of isolation and this is across the spectrum not just in some areas.

How do these compare to full size headphones? My current favorite are the Neumann NDH 20's. The Neumann's base response is superior to the SE425's, but only a little. In terms of clarity, the Neumann's are also a little better. However, they are twice the price of the Shure's and, while they offer good isolation, they are not equal to the SE425's.

I also own the FiiO FH5 IEM's. Excellent sound, but lack the isolation of the Shure's even fitted with Comply isolation tips.

You have to set your priorities. Mine are sound isolation when I need it and the ability to use Bluetooth and the SE425's are quite excellent in both respects.

All in all a very good value.

I have owned the Shure SE425 in-ear headphones and the SE535 for some time now. I love the clear and non-bassy reproduction of the Shure SE425, on my iPhone 6s especially in conjunction with the in-line remote/mic cable. In conjunction with the Bluetooth 5.0 Communication Cable, the bass is much more pronounced, almost too much for me!
The Shure SE535 headphones sounds warmer, the frequency response may score better in tests, but in conjunction with my iPhone, I prefer the SE425. However, things are different when pairing my Android phone with a DAC headphone amplifier: Here, the Shure SE535 headphones clearly show their strengths compared to the SE425.

I work in Hollywood on shows and love my SE425s. Clean sound and great isolation from outside noise.

B&H You guy's did a wonderful job, I got exactly what I ordered and it was delivered when you said it was going to be . As far has the Shure SE425 Wireless Sound-Isolating Earphones go They are the best I have used so far. I do like the previous unmiked cable better it seemed sturdier. The new cable is definetly not the same quality as the one that came with my SE215's. But this one comes with the bluetooth cable so... its a wash. I will definetly be buying my next set of Ear Bud/phones from B&H. Thanks for the great service.

Was looking for in ears for a while now and I saw Shure had these great headphones but I couldn’t a package like this!! Comes with all accessories (ear pieces, connectors, blue tooth!) sound quality is absolutely wonderful and when I’m playing on the kit I don’t even have to wear soundproof headphones over them! 10/10 would recommend!!!

Bluetooth is best with phonecalls only, but the fidelity when using the plug-in cord is amazing. Best I’ve ever had.

I like the sound of this in-Ear headphones and this is the first one that fit very well in my Ears. Feel comfortable and no any pain after two using hours. Actually, the main reason that I ordered this one is the quality of sound. I used other in-Ear headphones before and always had a problems with sound and pain in my ears. If you are carrying about good quality of sound that strongly recommend for the purchase.
