The Marshall CV-RCP-V2 Touchscreen Multi-Camera Controller provides control of up to seven cameras via a 5" touchscreen panel and two fine-tune control dials. The CV-RCP-V2 is pre-programmed with control protocols for all Marshall broadcast cameras plus select popular cameras from other brands.

The CV-RCP-V2 employs readily available 3-pin XLR cables for distances up to 1000' and can be converted to fiber for extended distances. Cables are not included with the controller and must be sourced separately.

Your camera settings can be adjusted individually or applied globally without the OSD menu appearing in your video feed. To speed up your workflow, the CV-RCP-V2's interface offers favorites settings, save features, self-help dialogs, and smart menus/sub-menus.

Housed in a sturdy aluminum case, the Marshall CV-RCP-V2 controller runs on either the included AC adapter or on 12 VDC power. Its USB port can be used for saving presets to a memory stick or for firmware updates.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Is the power supply included with this unit or is it separate?

A: The Power Supply is not included in the box with this unit.

Q: 2. How do you convert the controller for fiber use?

A: So you need to convert both the sdi signal and data signal to a fiber signal. I prefer using a Thor 1-Channel Mini HD-SDI Single-Mode Fiber Optic Extender Kit for each Marshall Camera, but that is just me. It mux’s both signals to one fiber and demux’s at the other end. Hope this helps. Good luck!

Q: 3. " . . .select popular cameras from other brands." Does that list include the Canon C300 MK II?

A: Not that we are aware of. This product is not compatible with the C300 Mark II.

Q: 4. Will this work on Sony BRC X1000 , Panasonic 22X hdmi NDI

A: No, Sony and Panasonic IP controlled PTZ cameras require their respective branded controllers for complete compatibility and operation. Controllers such as: SORMIP10 for Sony PAAWRP60GJQ for Panasonic

Q: 5. Will this work with a Panasonic AW-HE120 PTZ camera?

A: I don't think so...

Q: 6. Can I use a whirlwind split 6 to get to 6 cameras?

A: Yes. NOTE: Line level outputs can usually be split 6 times without noticeable loss of signal quality. The actual number of splits that can be accomplished depends on the level of the source signal and the impedances of the source and destinations in a particular application. It is not recommended that the SPLIT 6 be used to split a microphone level signal to more than two outputs. Attempting to do so may result in poor frequency response and reduced signal level. The SPLIT 6 may be used to split microphone level signals in most applications if this limit is observed.

Q: 7. Will this be sold with the power supply included?

A: No power supply is included. You may like to know is that it is designed to be powered by POE as well as a separate 12 VDC power adapter. Panasonic AW-PS551PJ AC Power Adapter B&H # PAAWPS551PJ

Q: 8. Will this work with a Sony Evi D70 ptz

A: The Marshall Electronics VS-PTC-200 does support the VISCA protocol which the EVID70 requires for control. Yes, It should work.

Q: 9. What connectors are on this device? Is it a male 8-pin Mini DIN?

A: No. It is a RS-232 8-pin.

Q: 10. How much power does it consume over POE?

A: The following unit offers a Independent dual power input of 12VDC and POE.

Great remote. I use it with FocusPLUS PRO. It's very sturdy and very easy to use.

If given the choice between using an app and using a physical remote for motion control products, I'll pick the remote. This Edelkrone remote does exactly what I need it to do.

I primarily use it with my slider and it's easy to set positions and parameters such as speed and easing.
When I have repeating movement in a shoot, I can quickly get up and running through this remote and not have to worry about doing it through an app. The user interface is uncomplicated, though there is a small learning curve.

One thing to note about this remote: it's quite thick. The first product pic doesn't really show the size. It's almost an inch thick! Also, it's made out of metal and weighs about 4 ounces. This remote doesn't feel cheaply made, and you'll definitely know if it's in your pocket or not! In an era of barely-there cheap plastic remotes, the Edelkrone Controller stands out. I just wish it was half as thick. Then again, this feels built to last.

I'd recommend it for anyone with Edelkrone gear who wants a simple controller that feels well built.

So over apps in general. This remote comes in clutch. Very easy to use and most of all reliable. Who has time to waste fiddling with yet another app on set?

I've been using the Edelkrone app for the past year. Decided to pick this up when buying the kit with the jib and headone v2 + Pan Pro. Long story short, I'm so glad I did. You would think the app would be faster but to be honest this remote, once you learn the interface, is much faster and more reliable. I have had zero downtime when using this remote. The app can sometimes hang up and not connect each component. Not so with the remote. Everything connects seamlessly and stays connected. Highly recommended and would buy again in a heartbeat. Thank you Edelkrone for listening to your customers.

The Edelkrone Controller V2 is much better than the first version, which dropped out frequently, and required re-initialization of the gimbal. It is better than the iPhone app for both range and ease of control. It turns off (partially) to save the battery, but reactivates without requiring re-pairing. It runs on a pair of AA batteries, for many hours, and doesn't drain the batteries when not in use.

I purchased the Edelkrone Controller v2 for use with their HeadPlus panning camera mount. I like have a remote camera in a balcony or at the rear of an auditorium for events, where it is impractical to run cables. The original controller (V1?) was ineffective at the usual distance (50+ ft), forcing me to use an iPad or iPhone instead. The v2 maintains control easily at these distances, without raising the device to maintain a direct line-of-sight contact. While it turns off as a power saving measure, it does not require re-pairing when started up again. The v2 can also be used as a wired controller, with extensions up to 50', and for more than one device with and Edelkrone Link Hub.
