A: This flashtube has a protective dome which would not be affected by the natural oils on our skin, but it's always good practice to handle any flashtubes or modeling lamps with a gloved hand.

A: I think it is best to hang sheet film by one corner and let it drip dry, after a 15 second photo-flo bath.

A: The new minimum focus distance when using this extension tube would depend on the focal length of the lens you are using along with the lenss native magnification. You would really only want to use the extension tube for macro work. When using extension tubes, the lens looses the ability to focus at infinity, so would no longer be able to focus on objects in the distance.
