This 130 x 170mm Cokin NUANCES X-Pro Series Soft-Edge Graduated ND Filter is designed for use with a Cokin X-Pro Series Filter Holder. It helps to darken specific areas of an image, such as bright skies, while allowing for a normal, unaffected exposure in the other regions of the image. The filter is densest at the edge and tapers to clear by the middle, with a soft-edged line of transition between the dense and clear areas. Neutral density filters do not affect the coloration of the image and this filter provides up to a 4-stop reduction in light from entering a lens.

Cokin NAUNCES filters are constructed from tempered Schott B270 glass and feature nano-metallic alloy film coatings on both sides of the filter surface to attenuate infrared light and maintain true color fidelity even when stacked with other Cokin NUANCES filters. Multi-layered coatings further help to reduce surface reflections for increased contrast and clarity.

    Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Will it cause vignetting on the 16-35 2.8L II with an 82mm adaptor ring? If so, at what focal length? Thanks,Lin

A: Unfortunately, the manufacturer has not specified which focal lengths vignette will be present, however, generally speaking, vignette begins to occur with focal lengths shorter than 24mm on a full-frame camera.

Q: 2. The Formatt Hitech 85mm rectangular filters say they are compatible with this specific product, however, this product's specs say it only holds 84mm rectangular filters. Is the discrepancy important? What gives?

A: The Formatt Hitech 85mm rectangular filters will fit in the Cokin 84mm filter holder. There is enough wiggle room. Besides, what is a silly millimeter between competitors?

Q: 3. Can I use this wallet for the 100mm format hitech system ?

A: The filters will be the same size so it should fit other 100mm filters.

Q: 4. What is the weight in grams of just the filer itself (no lens cap)?

A: The K&F Concept Nano X-Pro HD Variable ND2-400 Filter (82mm) weighs about 1.6 ounces which is about 45 grams.

Q: 5. 82 mm filter need for Tamon 24-70 lens and 72 mm filter for nikon 300 mm lens, which Cokin adapter is need for square graduated nd filter?

A: Correct on the 82mm adapter ring for your Tamron 24-70 but your Nikon 300mm needs not a 72mm adapter but a 77mm one. Once you have your adapter ring(s), you need a filter holder which is attached/held by the ring adapter. For Cokin P, the filter holder is right here: https://a href= http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/459608-REG/Cokin_CBP400A_P_Series_Filter.html/pageID/accessory target= _blank www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/459608-REG/Cokin_CBP400A_P_Series_Filter.html/pageID/accessory/a Hope that helps.

    Q: 6. Works for sony 24-70 mm?

A: Depends which 24-70 you are referring to. Sony FE 24-70mm f/2.8 GM II Lens accepts 82mm filters so this 67mm filter won't work.

Q: 7. what is the difference between p and a filter series?

A: P is a larger size, better for wide lenses and lenses with large filter sizes.

Q: 8. Will format Hitech 4x6 filters work with this?

A: These items were purchased as a gift. I never used them.

Q: 9. How big is the filter? Is it 100x100x2mm?

A: Following filter is a 4x 4x 0.07874. If a filter holder is needed please look into the following unit https://bhpho.to/3iGnSZj

Q: 10. Is the Conkin 4 color filters useable with digital cameras or film cameras only?

A: Yes, you can use these filters with digital cameras as well.
